This is an original theme for the short animation, Cushy Cushy Gentleman, a cute animation created by Sehee Mun from Hoseo Univerity. 
A story presents a bald-hair gentleman, and everything about him is being cushy and comfortable. He wants the cuddliest wig for himself, however, finding the perfect wig is going to be a challenge. Would he able to find the perfect wig?

This piece has a Romantic-era orchestration style, and the leitmotif is presented throughout the music with different instruments and a different tempo. In term of a structure, It is written and synced to the animation timecode. Ultimately, I wanted to show the character and mood of the animation with this composition.

HALIENE - Dream in Color

The languid string opening paints a picture of nostalgia and longing to return to a brighter past. The development section then arrives with a vaguely heroic conviction to take action, accentuated by anticipatory ostinato strings and percussion, creating a sense of acceleration throughout the track.

Consolidation - Ben Fowler

Emotional, reflexive, mournful, yet vaguely uplifting, this tear-jerking string ballad is reminiscent of remembering a fallen hero.

Largo - Dmitry Selipanov

Sparse opening quickly leads to anticipant, aggressive strings ostinato. Feeling is urgent and grand. There are several sectional breaks, and each new start pushes the intensity a few notches higher up. Back end offers an epic dialogue of sorts between high and low strings.

The First Man - Jonas Grauer

Sparse string intro slowly but steadily grows, building a clear sense of mystery. There are several sectional breaks, and with each, ostinato strings return with renewed urgency and importance, pushing the intensity up a notch each time, highlighted by a ticking clock and steadily growing pulse of drums that climaxes at its conclusion.

Day Into Night - Victoria Beits, Maksim Tyutmanov

Lush, lyrical, sparse opening gives way to swashbuckling, swaggering orchestral composition, full of twists and turns and adventure.

Infamous - Damir Price

Shimmering, melancholic string intro sets the stage for a final battle portrayed in the development section and back end, conveying rising stakes and desperation through intense, urgent ostinato string phrases, resolving with a darker variation of the opening strings
