Memphis native artist and engineer, Clay “Krucial” Perry III, had his first rendezvous with music at the young age of six, after his parents placed a violin into his hands. This moment struck a chord within him that continued to grow as he played and learned more musically. As he grew older and more inquisitive on his path of discovering new music techniques and sounds, Clay mastered the craft of mixing and began his music career. Clay went on to become a musical engineer, helping to create top songs for some of the hottest new acts in rap such as - NBA Youngboy, Yo Gotti, Rico Nasty, BlocBoy JB, Yella Beezy, and Co Cash.

 After years of working as an engineer, Clay wanted to hone his skills as a music artist. Balancing both the front and backend of the music business, he decided to create his musical alter persona, Krucial. “I’m me and nobody else can be me or imitate me, especially where I am from. I have my own sound and that is incontestable”. 

Under the Krucial moniker, Clay released several well-received projects including “Krucifix” in 2018 and 2019’s “It Could’ve Been Different” which garnered the attention of Tay Keith, a prominent super-producer and fellow Memphis native. In 2020, Tay Keith signed Clay “Krucial” Perry III to his growing label, Drumatized, a joint venture with Warner Music. In 2020 Clay released new music such as “Eastside”, “Damn!” ft. Lil Migo and “Ecstasy”.

The earliest signs of human habitation in these islands are artifacts characteristic of the Lapita culture, dating roughly to between 850 and 800 BCE. The islands served as natural stopover points for boat traffic going between Fiji and Samoa. During Tongan invasions in the 15th and 16th centuries, the islands showed varying levels of resistance and accepted varying degrees of assimilation: Futuna retained more of its pre-Tongan cultural features, while Wallis underwent greater fundamental changes in its society, language, and culture. The original inhabitants built forts and other identifiable structures on the islands, many of which are in ruins, but some of which are still partially intact. Oral history and archaeological evidence suggest that the Tongan invaders reoccupied and modified some of these structures. Oral history also preserves a cultural memory of relationships between Samoa and Futuna that are so longstanding that they are described in the islanders' origin stories.
