Really pleased with the progression / playing and atmospherics on this track.

Enjoyed making it, got in some cool guitar overdubs to compliment the main sequences. Used the Boss Digital Delay throughout and some really nice plugins. 

Good one to work one, bit long maybe but hopefully it carries through.

Single White Patriarch

Slightly jangly sounding bed of audio and quite atmospheric reverbs, quite a pretty song, not rendered entirely perfectly but please with results overall.

Ball Of String

Pleased with the spontaneous nature of the process in making this one, didn't have any of it planned less than 4 weeks ago so done quite well to turn what was a very basic idea into something complete. 

Nice one to make, things went really smoothly and apart from a bit of loose playing / some inconsistencies in the mix I think it's a good effort.

My Point Of View

Bit of an unusual arrangement, splicing some flanged up guitar sounds with a really solid rhythm section and some flashy synths. 

Got a good feel, like it when the beat picks up in verse 2. 

Pretty happy with this, the guitar idea has been floating around for a while.

Called To Prayer

Really pleased with the results here, used all my resources really well to create quite a powerful song. Lots of guitar overdubs and synths weaved together, seems to have a really effective feel. 

Started with very basic beginnings and added to as I progressed, one of my best in a while.

The Widower

A great sounding wall of distorted electric guitar, sax, synth, tight rhythm section, great vocals. Best think I've done in a while. Yes.

Rotten Erotica

Really interesting song that I'm very pleased with actually. Combines the influences of Steve Cropper's minimal melodicism, the stabby guitar tones of Mick Jones and an attempt to recreate some of the work Stephen Street did on records in the early 90's. 

Managed to get a trombone in there, really pleased with my guitar playing and singing here, in fact, probably the best thing I've done in a while, really enjoyed making this. Quite a long song but seems to carry through well.

Circus World

Interesting song with quite a melancholy feel and pretty chord changes. Happy with my ability to combine quite a few instruments here and now have it too crowded. A few loose bits of vocal work but overall played all the parts pretty well. On a good run now, 3 decent tracks in a row and feeling pretty confident of more to come. Enjoyed making this.

Off kilter / melodic number with interesting guitar and computer sounds.

Against All Odds

Great track (in my opinion), made full use of my new telecaster copy to layer up some spiky riffs, ideas had been fermenting for some time but nice to finally get everything down how I wanted it, very few flaws here I feel, one of my better songs and it's been a joy bedding in the new guitar and recording with it the past 3 weeks or so. Usual parameters, guitar ideas, cubase, EZ drummer and some plugins, very little treatment needed on guitars this time.
