hi everyone!! as all of you may know, it's my birthday today! right now i love everything and everyone and the world!
like, i can't even describe it in full detail. countless people have wished me a happy birthday today. i woke up feeling amazing about myself, and once i saw the nine birthday pings and "happy birthday algid" statuses on discord, i felt even fucking better. i have never felt so loved in my life, for someone who has a new history of mental issues. oh and btw, those issues are being handled really well as of recently. i'm feeling significantly better, but upload/music delays still might happen because of a few personal projects i've been working on.

now, for this song... i didn't know it was going to turn out like this, at all. and i'm honestly proud of it besides the drums, kinda. the drums, mainly the snare, was sort of a pain to work with. i couldn't find the right snare really. but i think this is good enough, hopefully. and sorry if it sounds compressed too, because fruity limiter was put on to make the snare fit if i'm sounding right. this will not be an a/b side for once, as i think this is a good enough sounding song to fit.
and for the windows-related theme, i've always been in the windows master race. never have i once had any apple products except an iphone. and honestly, i've always been interested in nostalgic windows versions and sounds, its history, it's all so fascinating to me. i've been working with computers ever since i was 5 (maybe??) and i thought this would be a great homage to that, as well as a few other obscure references i snuck in that only a select few of you may recognize. ~~oh, and the thumbnail's temporary btw, i think.~~
