Anthony Lamar is a native of New Jersey, who currently resides in Philadelphia. He made his singing debut at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Egg Harbor,NJ. His love for music was cultivated by his grandmother Essie Mae Hawkins, an original Caesar Singer. HIs Godfather, Robert E. Alford, was a Minister of Music and former background vocalist for Patti Labelle. Since his time on the music scene, Anthony Lamar has done background vocals for great artists including Kim Burrell, Vickie Winans, Beverly Crawford, Kurt Carr, and many more. He was a round 2 pick on NBC's "The Voice". Anthony plans to make entrance into the R&b world with his much anticipated first solo E.P "Black Out", which will be released in 2019. It is Anthony lamar's belief that music is the universal language, and he wants to speak it for the rest of his life. His vision is to spread love; to say to another heart, " I know it hurts but you can heal from it, let me show you how".
