Producer Nitram Zeus and vocalist Drina J join forces to bring you two slabs of sophisticated modern funk in all of its glowing neon glory. "All Night Long" makes no attempt to conceal its obvious dance floor appeal. Quantized synth-drenched grooves reminiscent of The System combine with an intensity to evoke thoughts of peak hour movement at Paradise Garage. Drina J's performance shines through beautifully and balances the retro-future production of the song with more contemporary vocal stylings. On "Love Language," the duo is joined by Temu who contributes his own vocal alongside Drina over a more midtempo track that glistens with icy DX7 chords, and should be well-received by anyone following the current resurgence of the UK street soul subgenre.

As always, we're bringing these two gems into physical form with a limited blue vinyl 7" plus picture cover, limited to just 150 copies!

Nitram Zeus is back for his second release with Sleepers, and from the jump it's clear why he couldn't stay away for too long. This burgeoning modern funk producer is clearly full of dance floor fillers and is ready to share them. His latest singles, "Rock Wit' U" (feat. Mishell Ivon) & "Automatic" (feat. Drina J) follow very similar blueprints, and upon listening, it's clear why - the formula (and the funk) is on point; why change a good thing? Both songs are rooted in the synthesizer bounce of modern day boogie funk, twisted with moody pad/chords that also give these two tracks a more cosmic, late night appeal that may even touch some deep house heads. "Rock Wit' U" & "Automatic" are also arranged and written with a clear pop sensibility that could easily make both tracks into staples on dance floors, DJ streams, & the headphones of funk enthusiasts worldwide.

To Bybo, it's all about embracing the way of the funk.

Growing up in south-western Germany, he was exposed to music at an early age through his parents who were also musicians. Hence, chords, sounds, studio sessions and a huge vinyl collection were second nature to him.
His first keyboard was a humble $50 Casio which his father gave him as a present at the age of 7, and after years of intensive listening and playing, he began to develop a personal understanding and feel for funky leads, fat basslines and soulful key changes. 'Magnetar Love' shows the depth of his game, and how far he has come, to encapsulate that spirit of funk - Time to bring out the quality cans for this number.
