The first Aquarian Lounge brought together many people into one unique space.  It is our intention that guests experience a transportive sensation.  Like they have stepped into a memory, or a movie set.  One of the many ways we have thought about achieving this is through sound.  Music has always been viewed as essential to the fabric of memory and sensation.  It evokes emotion and drives experiences.  For this reason we program sounds designed specifically for you, the listener, to be taken elsewhere.

This recording was taken from the first Aquarian Lounge venue takeover.  MusicRoom was the site chosen to host Oscar Black and Billus for an extended b2b. The first recording of our second event follows Oscar Black, who introduces our guests to the mood and atmosphere of the space.  Inside lies a mossy, wet rainforest.  Step off the street and into someplace else.  

This has always been our intention with The Aquarian Lounge.  To take guests on an immersive journey. One that prompts thought and imagination in an open-minded crowd. To conclude proceedings at our second event, we welcomed Bex.  What they showed us was a pulsing forest path, leading us deeper into the evenings atmosphere and mood.  Be pulled in to the ebbs and flow of Bex's sonic landscape.  

We could not be happier with how Bex interpreted and responded to the concept. A stalwart in our scene, please go support their shows and projects around town.  Everyone thing is always executed with precision.

The Aquarian Lounge 004: Bex

Welcome back to the Aquarian Lounge.  We are so happy with the fun we shared and memories we made with our guests last Saturday (19/10/24).  For this iteration, we took a journey under the surface to an underwater disco.  The space was transformed into a hazy, shimmering dancefloor which evolved throughout the night.

To begin the evening and colour the space, Oscar Black took guests deep into the blue.  Come and relieve the evening or just dip into the sonic swell of the Aquarian Lounge.   

Thank you once again to every single person who showed up with an open mind.  The atmosphere was beautiful and we were very satisfied with how things turned out.

For the third Aquarian Lounge we invited Mikekon of WIP music.  Mike took us deeper under the surface with their expressive selections.  We saw many guests seriously engage with the space and mood whilst Mike played.  This is consistently the response people have when Mike is behind the decks.  It is a testament to their skill and artistry and we are so grateful for their contribution and energy they shared with our guests. Thank you Mike.

We could not have been happier with how the previous event went down.  We know so many guests shared some special moments that will become treasured memories over time. It fills us with optimism and we have already started to indulge thoughts of the next event.  Please stay tuned.

Welcome into the atmosphere of our fourth Aquarian Lounge event. Truly an evening of lounge-based vibes, Oscar Black took guests on a cosmic journey into the void. Guests were treated to a soundtrack that veered through space guiding the audience finally to the surface of Mars. Walk in and experience a soundscape familiar, broadcast from the red planet.

Expect soundtracks layered with spacey ambience, funk drenched in reverb and echo and deep, moody house music.

We are grateful for all our dear friends, new and old that came through and enjoyed the mood and room. We were very happy with the vibes on the evening. Wholesome and relaxed!
