THE ARMARTIS ENSEMBLE is a flexible chamber ensemble comprising of young professional musicians who have come together over a collective passion for performing. Exploring standard repertoire, lesser known works and interesting arrangements of more popular music. We like to make ourselves musically accessible to all; whether performing music in various guises and combinations to the highest standard or leading educational outreach projects. In 2014 they have been semi-finalists of Royal Overseas League Chamber Ensemble competition and finalists of the Tunnell Trust Music Club Scheme Awards.

Founded in 2011, the ensemble's current members have all studied at the Royal College of Music or the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London under scholarships. Individually the ensemble's members have had considerable experience of solo, chamber and orchestral playing, working with orchestras and ensembles including the Orchestra of English National Opera, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Britten Sinfonia and Aurora Orchestra. They also receive regular coaching from Martin Gatt and Joy Farrall.
