Bio.

The Artist Intriago [real name Nicholas Intriago] is a singer-songwriter-producer based in Miami, FL.  Having written and produced music since the young age of 17, The Artist will be debuting his first EP of original music titled “elske. -  Volume 1” to be released in the Spring of 2021.  In his own words, “I feel like I’ve been preparing for this moment all of my life; It’s finally time”.

Born and raised in Miami, Fl, The Artist was exposed to music at a very young age.  His grandmother, being the driving force in his love for music.  “My grandmother would sing constantly throughout the day and she’d encourage me to do the same”.  By the age of 10, The Artist was playing the keyboard at church, singing in the choir and starring in many plays and musicals through his early teen years. It was during these early years on stage that The Artist realized his true love for music and the arts.

Singing and playing the piano became his first love and by the age of 16, The Artist was composing original music.  The only problem - he was too shy to show anyone.  “I was dealing with coming out and I was so young.  My songs were about that.  I didn’t want anyone to find out”.  After writing countless songs, he gained confidence in himself and his music and began to share his compositions with close friends and family.  It was only a matter of time until The Artist realized that music would not only be his passion, but his destiny.

In 2009, The Artist moved to New York City to further his education and simultaneously learn to produce and engineer his own music.  It was through a Craigslist ad that he found his musical partner, Bibz.  “The connection was immediate.  He was a collaborator and a teacher.  Since we’ve met, I think we’ve created about 200 songs”.   And that’s exactly what they continue to do.  Together, The Artist and Bibz have designed a unique sound that is reminiscent of the 90s both musically and melodically, however, with a modern twist.  Bibz states, “He’s telling you stories, personal stories.  The melodies and beats are new and fresh.  Everyone is definitely going to be singing along to his new music”.

Having moved back to Miami with a plethora of knowledge, The Artist was accepted into SAE (School of Audio Engineering) with a full scholarship.  It was during this time that The Artist set out to finally release a project of his original music which he wrote, produced and performed himself.  “elske. - Volume 1” is a collection of 5 songs that take you on a journey into one of my first relationships.  It definitely had its ups and downs so I wanted the music to reflect that.  You can expect club bangers, ballads and everything in between.  This EP is an ode to my Miami roots and my love for music and the stage”.
