So als Käpt’n ist das ja auch nicht einfach, nech wahr. Da musst du Vorbild sein, dem faulen Gesindel an Deck Kommandos geben und am besten machst eh alles gleich selber. Ja Nee, das läuft ja nunmal gar nicht und Käpt’n https://soundcloud.com/rolandson ist da auch gar nicht so der Mensch für. Gut, dass wir die nautische Schifffahrtskammer aber immer wieder austricksen und ihr glauben machen können, wir seien streng hierarchisch organisiert und alles fädelt sich an der Perlenkette auf. Na gut, es ist nicht so einfach wie es klingt, bestechen müssen wir da den Ein oder die Andere schon hin und wieder - was uns aber aufgrund unserer musikalischen Leidenschaft und Vielfalt nicht schwer fällt. So mussten wir nach der Verschiebung des Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum kurz mal die  an Bord geschaffene Impulsionisationskammer öffnen und einen Einblick in das langsamere Langsam gewähren. Das hat sich dann schon ganz schön hingezogen, doch unsere neuer Steuermann https://soundcloud.com/mattmosphere hat die Damen und Herren der nautischen Schifffahrtskammer ordentlich umgarnt und sie auf eine Reise geschickt. Ihr wollt wissen wie die story verlief? Ja dann, dann lest hier seine Beschreibung und lauschet aufmerksam seinem Seasidetrip, Aye.

»Du kommst zur Morgendämmerung an den Strand und bist in dich gekehrt. Du setzt dich ans Meer in den Sand und schliesst die Augen. Du kommst zur Ruhe und Besinnung und bist bereit für deinen (Seaside) Trip, der dich mit dir selbst und dem Ozean verbindet. Du lauschst dem Rauschen der Wellen und der deepe und langsame Bass lässt dich wie einen Vogel über den Ozean schweben. Nach einer Weile in der Luft treibt es dich wieder zurück an die Wasseroberfläche und du tauchst letztendlich hinab in die dunkle und weite Tiefe. Dort ist es geheimnisvoll, etwas düster und mysteriös, doch du bist neugierig. Du tauchst durch endlose Lagunen und kommst nach einer Weile wieder in seichtere und freundlichere Gewässer. Die Sonne ist nun vollends aufgegangen und du schwimmst in ihre Richtung. Du kommst wieder zu dir und liegst noch an der selben Stelle im Sand. Schöne Reise wünsche ich euch allen - Ahoi, Matt!“«

Desde nuestras raíces vienen los elementos que nos hacen lo que somos, la esencia de nuestra naturaleza y las cosas que nos gustan. A veces tratamos de escapar de esta realidad, tratamos de escondernos en un falso hogar creado con paisajes virtuales y creencias falsas, pero cuando escalamos unos peldaños más arriba y abrimos nuestros ojos, nos sentiremos pequeños y vulnerables. Ahora  es cuando buscamos nuestras raíces, la paz en nuestra alma y la conexión que tenemos con el núcleo de la tierra.

From our roots comes the elements that make us what we are, the essence of your nature and the things you like. Sometimes we try to escape from that reality, we  try to hide in a fake home made by virtual landscapes and fake beliefs, but when you go some steps up and open your eyes, you will feel small and vulnerable. Now you look for your roots, for the peace in your soul and your connection with the core of the earth.

What a great time we had the last two months with our brother from Chile. Its so nice to go back to our roots and realise that we share the same thoughts about mother earth and our existence. Expressing this minds through music is what we like most. So press play, lean back and enjoy! :) <3

Das Blaue Band des Frühlings schwingt gar wogend durch die Lüfte und ab und an flirrt am Horizont schon die heisse Luft - die Stadt bäumt sich auf, nach ach zu langem Winterschlaf und wir da oben auf dem Dach, wir entspannen uns zu endlosen Sonnenuntergängen in den Sommer! Passend dazu gibt es auch endlich wieder neues Futter für die Ohren, wohlige Dach-Sounds für Zuhause - denn unser neuer Podcast ist da! Frische Sounds kommen von Kranich Resident, altbewährter Nachteule und neu angeheuertem Seaside Trip Mitglied Tom aka Te-eM, der uns mit seinem wunderbar verschicktem Downtempo und Slow Tech in die lauen Sommernächte schickt - voll von organischem Grooves, bittersüßen Melodien und sanft schwingenden Bässen. Passgenau für das Dach, passgenau für den Vorabend oder die After-Hour - so soll das und so muss das auch! Viel Spaß am hören!

August's Flavour of the month is a live-set by the Argentinean producer Uji (@ujitimebeing).

Organic sounds turn digital, surprising even the most attentive listeners. The music flows like a walk on the Andes, resting on the top to look around at the landscape, before waking up back in the jungle, or the ocean, or the forest as if traveling in time.

The suspended stillness of the daybreak and the twilight feeds our imagination, and fascinates the longing for the unknown. This mix includes tracks from the Uji's debut solo album - “Alborada” - out for ZZK Records, plus remix and other singles.

On Camino de Flores, his second full-length album, El Búho reimagines electronic music through the lense of the natural world and its rich soundscapes. 

Drawing on the inspiration of traditional rhythms and sounds, notably from Latin America, Camino de Flores is an album that transports you to another place. Following the success of his first LP, titled Balance, El Búho is back and takes us on a journey from high mountains to cascading waterfalls, from a dusky rainforest to a crackling fire beneath a clear, star-filled sky. The album charts a pathway between traditional rhythms, the sound of the natural world, IDM electronica and a deep, enveloping dancefloor sound. 

With rhythms, instruments and effects built from field recordings or “found sound”, on Camino de Flores it is often hard to distinguish between synths and drum machines, from birds, water, rain or crunching leaves.

It was a very special moment when our Brazilian friend and artist Ygor Marotta AKA VJ SUAVE shared his music with us for the first time. Marotta, best known the founder of the multi-disciplinary duo VJ Suave and as a member of the beloved Voodoohop family, joins Bahia based producer Bela Amado AKA Irû & fellow São Paulo bassist Tomás Xavier to present their new project Pássaro (Bird).

The trio’s debut EP Pássaro Encantado (Enchanted Bird) was recorded during a three day jamming session in Marotta’s Sao Paulo studio. It sounds is like a psychedelic tropical hike, a mysterious and enchanting journey into VJ Suave’s world, at once captivating but experimental, pop and psychedelic, natural and synthesized. Brazilian traditional influences sit alongside with wobbling electronic flutes, spaced out synths and Xavier’s freeform bass guitar. The five tracks are in the order that they were created: the energy and unique moment of those jam sessions at Marotta’s studio is printed perfectly onto the soul of this music.

Recorded by PÁSSARO at VJ Suave´s studio, between April 30th and May 2nd, 2019 in São Paulo.
