Breathe Deeply

The song From the Wasteland was inspired from 2nd Samuel 9 about how David spared the life of Mephibosheth and essentially adopting him into his family. Mephibosheth was a cripple living in Lo-debar, which basically translates to desolate—a place of desolation, which I refer to as the wasteland. This story serves as a great illustration and reality of how we are crippled by sin (the wasteland) and how God brought us from the wasteland and adopting us into His family through the ministry of His reconciliation through His Son Jesus Christ that as His sons and daughters we now have a place at the Father’s table of grace. It’s a stunning yet beautiful reminder of God’s undeserved grace. ~Manny
