     “Die Trying” is about big dreams and big obstacles.  When you dare to reach beyond your daily grind, you are guaranteed to have skeptics who say you'll never make it.  Every dreamer encounters intimidating giants.  “Die Trying” exposes the obstacles in the way of your dreams instead of glossing over them, asking, “Are you giving up now?  Or are you gonna shout it out: 'I am not afraid of the dreams I've made!  I'm not afraid to fall!'”  Don't fool yourself into thinking that you won't face struggles; instead, identify the giants that stand in your way – and prepare to fight!

The Audible Dark - Hey Perfect

At its heart, The Audible Dark is honest, anthemic rock, with deeply felt, universal sentiments. The hard driving rhythms combine with instantly memorable melodies to stick with you long after the first listen. Recently relocated to Denver, The Audible Dark is “heavy but not oppressive or melancholy and the balance lets you hear articulation and vocal nuances and flowing lyrics.”

     The Audible Dark has released two singles, "Terrified" and "Die Trying" from their upcoming full-length debut album, and has announced that "Fighting With Hercules", a third single, will drop soon.  The album, recorded with Anthony "Rocky" Gallo at Virtue and Vice Studios, is planned for release in late 2012. 

     The Audible Dark was founded in 2010 under rather un-rock-and-roll circumstances. “As a kid, I dreamed of 'being a singer'. Then I woke up one morning and discovered I was a 25-year-old stay-at-home mom of two,” says singer/guitarist Stephanie Logan. “It smacked me in the face! If I didn't chase my dream—and do it now—tomorrow I'd be an old lady wondering what if.” Stephanie threw herself into writing and practicing every spare minute. She recounts sitting on the kitchen floor during naptime, playing electric guitar through headphones so she wouldn't wake the kids up!

     Stephanie sought out her good friend Anthony “Rocky” Gallo, a producer/engineer whose credits include John Legend and Carrie Underwood. Together they crafted The Audible Dark's powerful self-titled debut EP to capture the intensity of Stephanie's songwriting. Rocky brought in Pat McCarthy to lay down a sweet bass line on the record, which was released on November 1, 2010. When the band began to play live shows, Pat called on drummer Chris Infusino to bring the groove, and a couple months later, lead guitarist Lance Barnewold added his searing guitar solos to the band. While playing throughout New York City, The Audible Dark finished a second EP entitled Rainbows & Roses (released on May 6, 2011) at Rocky's new space, Virtue and Vice Studios.  Late in 2011, Sergio Ortega joined the band as the new lead guitarist.

     Stephanie relocated her family to Denver, CO in March 2012.  She plans to rebuild the band and get back to playing as quickly as possible.  Watch for exciting developments soon!

     The Audible Dark names Paramore, Dashboard Confessional, and My Chemical Romance among their influences, a unique combination that comes through in the captivating vocals and transparent lyrics. “Stephanie’s voice slams into your ears relentlessly, and I mean that as a compliment. She has a very direct and precise delivery, an acute sound to her vocal, that helps drive the tempo of the songs forward with the pulsing rock music supporting her melody... There is something inspiring and hopeful about the overall mix.”
