The Magic 7

Cold, dark and unwelcoming, Snorkie’s latest offering blows in from the Stygian depths at temperatures that only register on the Kelvin scale. It’s an unforgiving tableau, much in the vein of a musical Hieronymus Bosch, in which Snorkie’s particular vision of Heaven and Hell renders the one indistinguishable from the other. It’s disturbing and alienating, yet weirdly, so right for the times. If it’s dark, it is magnificently so. If it frightens you, that’s the point. This is a funk that speaks to the old gods and the new in their own language and tells them what time it is. Meet your maker and ask for repairs?
