The Away Days are something of a cultural and musical first in their home town of Istanbul, Turkey: a dream pop band inspired by the likes of The Cure and Tame Impala. 

They have come a long way since releasing their debut EP ‘How Did It All Start’ in 2012. A series of excellent singles has led to plaudits raining on them from international institutions such as SPIN, Noisey and The Guardian, and if the lasting impression they left behind them at this year’s Red Bull Warm-Up campus concert in Istanbul is anything to go by, 2016 is undoubtedly going to be theirs. 

‘Less Is More’ – the first released track off their forthcoming full-length debut – is both spacious and lush, with rich guitars and beautiful reverberant vocal ambience. Dive in!

Since forming, they have supported big acts like Portishead, Massive Attack and Belle & Sebastian, as well as performing internationally at SXSW and more. In their native Turkey they continue to establish the foundation for a truly independent music scene whilst internationally NPR, BBC 6 Music and the influential station KEXP keep spinning their songs. The band is ambitious, focused, and destined to push their music to the largest platforms as much as possible with their new single called ''Places to Go'' from their debut album.
