Have you ever seen a Baadgir? It's a beautiful wind-catcher tower in traditional houses in central Iran, like in Yazd or Kashan. Here though, The Baadgirs (بادگیرها) are the sound of indie music from Tehran, with a touch of Iranian fusion. By aligning their unwavering dedication to the do-it-yourself work ethic with an experimental approach, guitarist/vocalist Arshia Eghbali, setar player, Amireza Paknejad, guitarist, Nima Dabirian, keyboardist, Nima Miryeganeh and occasional percussionist/manager, Amirhossein Adelfar are trying to create a unique blend of classical Iranian music with catchy, fresh acoustic indie vibes.
