The Draw - The Badland Roots

The five piece new-school Blues/Rock band are the latest band to take Guildford by storm. Currently in the process of writing and recording their highly anticipated new material that promises to deliver a unique and fresh sound with interlocking vocal and guitar harmonies, The Badland Roots are gearing up to set the stage on fire at various gigs and festivals. 
The Badland Roots describe themselves as a "A dirty roots blues outer shell, with a chewy funk and groove center..."
Influenced by modern blues artists such as Oli Brown, Tedeschi Trucks and John Mayer Trio, 
the band also look to blues pioneers Muddy Waters, BB King and Howlin’ Wolf for inspiration. With the addition of funk, rock, soul, gospel and country for extra flavor, The Badland Roots focus on bringing groove, creating big riffs and unparalleled runs. After being crowned winners of 2013's ACM Battle of the Bands and playing a number of high profile shows including a set at G Live, Guildford, The Badland Roots are now looking to expand their horizons, writing for their first record whilst gigging across the south-east.
