Art Basel Miami was so rad / and if that wasn't enough every artist on the Dirtybird BBQ Miami bill threw down / seriously tho, they went all in like I haven't seen before.  So good to see such great real djing.  Hard to choose, but I liked Justin Martin's set the best.  Claude, J.Phlip, Kill Frenzy, and Christian Martin all still killed it like usual.  Well done Dirtybird crew.

Artist of the moment (9/26) / Pretty Lights / This weekend I was fortunate enough to experience PL's 2-day episodic festival at Northerly Island. Night one we heard a bunch of new shit (that I can't wait to be released) and bass. Night two was a more vintage PL performance. DVS even free-styled to his love song 'yellow bird'. The chilly night air provided the perfect setting for this psychedelic journey. The band never disappoints!!

Favorite artist of the moment (8/3/16) / LCD Soundsystem / seen at Lollapalooza.  This weekend was full of great sets while being surrounded by the Chicago skyline.  The Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked out harder than any show I've been to in a long time.  Opened with a jam sesh feeding right into the riffs of 'Can't Stop', the entire crowd lost their minds including myself.  Those dudes fucking rock.  It was the best show I had ever seen, until LCD topped them the next night.  It was a next level experience.  Electronic before it was electronic, dance before it was dance.  I was truly blown away and now I'm a fanboy for life.  Thank you to everyone involved.  I have to see you again soon.

Favorite artist of the moment (6/1/16) / Emancipator / as seen at Summer Camp Music Festival.  Hearing the compilation of live violin strings, down tempo, drum n bass, and more took me on a journey consisting of lying on the dirt looking into space, watching fire poi, and floating into the crowd of the Vibe Tent.
