I played this ballad at Shangri La Studios on May 5th, 2023.
Just a few weeks later on May 19th I recorded myself skating around the Court House Skate spot in LA...

When I played this recording, it made me reminisce about the times i would skate all day with my friends and the older kids I looked up to. As i started mixing it in FL, I figured I would add a scene from one of my favorite movies "Mid 90s". 

In this scene, Ray talks to Stevie as he's troubled about what is going on at home. He then begins to comfort Stevie with conversation, basically telling him to not worry as he has a board to skate and new found friends that are there for him.

After i added this scene i then thought about adding skateboarding quietly in the background, remembering that i had recording myself skating in my voice memos, I added it right away. The crazy thing is that my foot steps in a part of the recording matched up perfectly with the rhythm of the piano. 

I hope this ballad brings you comfort in times that you feel lonely and or hopeless. Keep your head up :)
