Channeled and recorded on the night of January 28, 2021 in a cabin named Walt near Asheboro, NC through Getaway House. The tracks appear in the order in which they appeared - truly, as the entirety of the album was improvised in one long, psilocybin-drenched sitting from the comfort of my bed in the dead of night with a panoramic window view of the shape-shifting forest, guitar in hand with a meager array of effects pedals at my fingertips. Hence, it's raw. It was recorded in mono. You can hear me fumbling around with the pedals throughout in the background and the delivery, the Translation if you will, is not without its fits, stutters, boinks and blemishes, though I prefer to consider them birth marks that enhance the overall beauty and express an ever-so-human element in an otherwise other-worldly soundscape. FROM WALT was practically an accident in its conception, but nonetheless a visceral and winding journey for anyone willing to step into the deep end of inner space with an open mind.
