@yuyuclubmexico x Infinite Machine V/A is a collaboration whose result is a compilation of 14 tracks designed for the dance floor; solid, functional and esoteric. This is a selection of tracks produced by Mexican artists involved in the Club movement from different cities in Mexico, all of them with a conceptual and geographical separation, but with common features that synthesize the essence of the national scene.

Definitive proof of the maturity of the Club scene in Mexico, this compilation is born as an initiative by the most important venue in the capital of Mexico: Yu Yu, which joins forces with the pioneering label Infinite Machine to curate this compilation. An avant-garde ensamble of projects which aims to exhibit a shared imagination through the unification of different styles and music genres. All of this comes from the perspective of Yu Yu's resident, Mexico City-based label, Infinite Machine. A label that has a direct correlation with the global club scene.

This effort also has the goal to financially support the artists involved due to the delicate situation we are going through. As they are part of Yu Yu's community, which is unfortunately closed at the moment. Artists involved from the likes of Nico, AAAA, Microhm with worldwide recognition to up and coming artists like Benfika, OMAAR, CNDSD and the current, most fresh national acts like Loris, KOI and El Irreal Veintiuno. Among other key pieces of national electronics, united in this soundscape of volatile frequencies.

“Névoa” is the latest beguiling mutation from the Brazilian producer Naves Cilíndricas, in which his shape-shifting sound design skills come to the fore as an ever-morphing, hyper-modern feature that never shies away from its highly affective if not androgynous pathos; beneath its multicolored digital simulacrum, one can still find traces of human vocalizations next to fragmented robotic speech. Its ultra-stylized tones and somewhat percussive ghostly presence should perhaps be perceived more as sonically sculpted environments where one can navigate and drift through rather than tracks per se.

At times melancholic and ethereal and by the same token hermetic and noisy, his melodic arrangements composed of digitally generated timbres and hyper-processed vocals simultaneously evoke dystopic images and videos in an attempt to extrapolate the limits between body, sound, and image.

To kick off the SYN12 catalog, we’ve brought together 5 exclusive tracks from Northern producers Baccy Beard, Krotone, Ren, Wooda and Yilan.


A short-run of tapes will be pressed with exclusive artwork by Lucas Owen.


The EP aims to set the tone of the label and match the energy of the syn12 nights, keeping a shining light on underground club music .


The opening track ‘Bright Light’ injects a dark dose of swing to the lineup, with a swaggering 808 bounce and shuffle-step drum pattern designed to move crowds. The sultry vocal line and warped bass is fit for any warehouse or club rave, and Krotone carries the momentum throughout.


Yilans contribution is a syncopated lock-step workout of abstract percussion and sound design. The pulsing bass tones and skeletal beat science employed in ‘Vog’allude to the more sinister corners of dubstep and down-tempo electronic beats.


The gritty third track snatches back into a higher speed. ‘Revive’embodies a hectic agglomeration of styles, snagging transecting elements of drum & bass and European techno filled with dark moods, snarling bass and intense rhythms.


Ren brings a 2-step pace to the fourth track ‘Torque’, delivering cybernetic dancehall grooves and tuned resonances with laser-guided automation. The breakdown offers a dark glimpse of euphoria, with a devastating drop and white-hot synth lead.


Closing off the Compilation: Baccy Beard’s uncluttered transmission of rave-hybrid engineering locks into the angular dimensions of electro and grime, with mad flashes of jagged bass and icy synths for good measure.


The state of modern UK Techno is a complex one, but as a collection of tracks Syn12’s first release joins the dots between some of the disparate but contingent dance floor methodologies with and mix of joy and dread. This compilation provides a snapshot to a community of assertive DJs and producers ready to set minds and feet in motion
