Meet Spyros Mauromatis aka Psybort. Born in Athens in 1989, he showed his love for electronic music from a very young age. Soon he started learning keyboards and composing his own tracks. The Bitzpan "Vortex Fusion": A Sonic Journey Through Psychedelic Realms
The Bitzpan, the dynamic duo comprised of Greek artists Panos and Yannis, has unveiled their latest EP, 'Vortex Fusion', a mesmerizing tapestry woven from threads of electronica, psychill, and downtempo genres. Drawing inspiration from pioneers like Shpongle, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Ott or Entheogenic, the EP stands as a testament to the duo's ability to craft immersive soundscapes that transcend conventional musical boundaries.
From "Vortex Fusion", listeners are invited into a swirling vortex of ethereal melodies and hypnotic rhythms. The opening sets the stage with atmospheric synths that ebb and flow like cosmic tides, punctuated by percussive elements that ground the celestial journey. It's evident that Nikolaou and Bitzanis have meticulously layered each sound, allowing the tracks to breathe and evolve organically.
For the second track "Crystal Reform", The Bitzpan introduces deeper bass lines and intricate tribal beats that evoke a sense of grounding amidst the astral exploration. The journey that unfolds in this 6-track EP reminds us of a journey through a dystopian nightmare of a metropolis, where we are faced with the harsh reality of the underlying effect mechanizing every aspect of life has had and will undoubtedly only increase with time. A place where any notion of anything else than unbound overconsumption and conquest is deemed unhealthy and is swiftly eradicated by the unrelenting current of a society gripped by the curse of Stockholm Syndrome.

It serves as a parallel to the reality nobody wants, yet most are diving into, head first as if their chosen savior descended from heaven itself.

'The Bitzpan' is a Downtempo / Electronica music project from Athens, Greece.
The artists behind the name are Panos Nikolaou and Yannis Bitzanis.
They use a mixed technique of Digital - Analog equipment to create their own 
personal sound of various soundscapes, atmospheres and downtempo musical designs.
   Overlapping downtempo gender offers the audience a wide musical odyssey ,from chilled to ecstatic grooves.
It's a deeper plunge into the raw analog sound synthesis, an exploration of instruments and technics dialoguing harmonically with each other, an understanding of the physics of sound and a try to blend it.
   The Bitzpan duo combines several times classic psychedelic and techno elements with mid tempo grooves, analog drums, rhythmic basses, trippy modular melodies and organic instrument layers. 
   The journey into electronic music production began back in 2000 and never stopped ever since.
Their official discography started in 2014 on labels such as Sofa Beats (Iboga Records), Iono Music, Iono Lounge, and many more!
