New Music Generator: The Black Lakes

The Black Lakes are an English rock band from Cambridgeshire, UK. 
Formed in the spring of 2015, TBL are a band that was formed almost by accident!
Vocalist Blaine Elderton had been working with a mutual friend and guitarist on a batch of songs for a while. Sadly, this partnership coughed and spluttered its way into nothing. Now in search of a drummer, bassist AND guitarist to complete the line up, Blaine found Andrew Farrow & Tim McCreadie almost immediately, thanks to the local music scene. The three musicians hit it off instantly, whilst the search for a suitable guitarist proved a more taxing. After several weeks, Adam Laybourn answered the call and after hooking up for the obligatory jam, the four ruffians managed to write their very first song, Slaves. It was on this merit alone and the fact that all four seemed to get along brilliantly, that The Black Lakes were spawned. 
Adam's simplicity in his guitar playing & an ear for some great hooks together with Tim's simple but strong bass lines give rise to some exceptional drumming from Andrew Farrow. With a certain urgency and bleakness to Blaine's lyrical & vocal style, The Black lakes almost feel as though a gorgeously sunny day is about to be thwarted by ominous looking rain clouds on the horizon. The live shows are certainly not to be missed!
