This is my latest venture into what I call psychedelic house music. This style combines a variety of sounds ranging from deep house, house, minimal, electro, breaks, techno, and progressive house all with a unique atmosphere and vibe - while paying homage to a lot of classic 90’s rave influences.

"HYPNOCOUSTICS has weaved together a fresh selection of some of his favourite creations. Featuring tracks from his recent EP releases "Who Own You" with Colin OOOD and "Visitation" on Nano Records, two unreleased secret tracks including a draft version of a solo twisted 150 BPM blaster and a collaboration with Aardvark/ Nigel Shiva Valley, a collaboration track with Angus Mandala from his amazing new recent album, and ending with a classic from the Flying Sorcerers (Hypnocoustics & Aphid Moon). Hypnocoustics was originally formed in 2009, and Joe is one of the UK's top psychedelic producers releasing over 70 tracks across three albums, numerous EPs and singles, and having given acclaimed live performances at some of the biggest and best dance floors on the global psy-trance scene. He brings a unique touch to all his music and an accomplished ear honed through a background of classical music performance and orchestral playing. However it was lysergic exposure to classic Goa Trance albums, along with his love of psychedelic rock bands like Tool & The Mars Volta, that tuned him into the alternative frequencies offered by these new forms of music".

Like the label itself, this release it’s been made for showing you a very careful selection that is not locked to only one of the subgenres of the psytrance. So, we gathered gems that drives the soul to places were different emotions can be felt on a journey of sound that contains a wide spectrum of frequencies and tones. We will fulfill your body and brain with sound waves specially created for you to make you vibe and dance. I specialize primarily in psytrance, and additionally in breakbeat and tech-house / deep-tech... yet I also drop sets of drum'n'bass, techno, and other forms of house music.

Psytrance is my true love.
However, tech-house is a very close second, which I *sometimes* perform under the ‘Papasan’ alias.

A disc jockey for the past 23 years, I have a wide ranging background... from Bay Area mack rap and G-funk, to progressive and nuskool breakbeat, to techstep, jump-up, and neurofunk styles of drum'n'bass.
My roots are spinning vinyl records of nuskool breaks and drum'n'bass, yet for the past 16 years, I've stayed firmly planted in psychedelic trance music.

I've had the honor of dropping slaps for some of the USA's most renowned psytrance crews, namely Pulsar LA, PsyTribe USA, and Greensector, as well as dropping breakbeat and D&B for various rave crews in Los Angeles, and in addition, ardently pushing psytrance in the Philippines wherever and whenever I can, from MEDUSA (Makati) events, my own OPODISCO parties, Vulan Tribe's outdoor festivals, and arguably the most fun: private in-house (IH) ragers.

Expect to hear a wide range of trance... ranging from higher BPM, heavy, funky twilight blasters, to deep and rolling full-on, to earthy and chunky Japanese mid-groove, to driving, atmospheric prog-psy.

Past aliases include: Psykotik, Bling Theory, and Sardonyx (w/ DJ Symbiot... RIP Jason!)
