Thomas Newman has always inspired me with his scores.  I felt particularly moved by this original (...Shells), and wanted to do a cover and a twist of it.  In the past I wrote a song based off of "Fish are friends not food", and I also did a cover of his score Nemo Egg.  This is definitely my favorite Thomas Newman flip I have done so far though. :)

🐙 Continuing on with his own special and unique future bass sound, The Blue Sextapus returns with another incredible original, this time dropping “Flow With You.” With his entirely unique approach, The Blue Sextapus focuses on making a bouncy and rhythmic track, complete with double-bass inspired kick drums, glistening arps acting as effects, a unique stuttering bassline, and refreshing melodies all uniting for another noteworthy and distinct listening experience. 

Adding some vocals in the second breakdown, The Blue Sextapus is able to round out a well produced and well-written track by keeping the listener’s attention before steadily building back into a ‘flowing’ drop. - @tracksfordays

Flow With You

🐙 It’s always great to hear a new track from The Blue Sextapus. After an excellent 2016 full of top quality releases, all in his own individual and unique style, The Blue Sextapus returns for his first track of 2017 with “Tentacles.”

A subtle, melodic introduction welcomes us to this atmospheric track with a stuttering, flanged bassline and glowing melody, before the melody and bassline both build up strongly and drop into a distorted and bouncy drop. I’m a huge fan of the distortion used by The Blue Sextapus in this track, again showing his ability to create new, inspiring sounds and a genre all his own. A second breakdown re-introduces the shiny synth melody a top a stuttering bassline chord progression. Another unique build takes us to the second, rage-inducing drop full of perfectly distorted synth work and a bouncy low-end. Definitely make sure you check this track out and grab your free download!
