The Blueswater are an award-winning act from Edinburgh who regularly perform across Scotland and the UK. The band brings in the sounds of gritty old-school rhythm and blues, drawing inspiration specifically from the Chicago blues style of Chess records, building guitar riffs and harmonica solos around a tight rhythm section.

In 2011, they premiered their show BLUES! At the Edinburgh Fringe to great acclaim, and in 2012 received a Mervyn Stutter Spirit of the Fringe Award. Festival gigs include playing at the 2012 and 2013 Dundee Blues Bonanza, the Islay Feis Ile Festival, Doune the Rabbit Hole, and the Kelburn Garden Party.

They also have supported New Orleans' Hot 8 Brass Band, and played a week-long residency as the house band for the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe's infamous comedy night, Late n' Live.
