medium jazz-funk tune, written by our bassplayer George Boon. As being a huge fan of Brand X, the X is a logical choice. The soundscape "a moment of silence " is a true statement, especially today as we are in the middle of a world wide crisis. The first part of the guitar solo, has an "Alan Holdsworth look - & feel " , a nice tribute to a great musician.

Elvin is a tribute to one of the greatest jazz drummers / musicians: Elvin Jones!
An old school jazztune, played with brushes , melody played by bass and smooth jazzguitar,  a basssolo and traditional 4's before returning to the theme.

Caledonian Sleeper is the collective name for overnight sleeper train services between London and Scotland, with this track we're trying to give you an impression of an overnight train ride, combining guitar, bass & drums with a pre-recorded sample. It might sound a bit more experimental, compared to other The Body Electric-original compositions. This tune is written by Hans Simons and performed / recorded by: Frans Frijns on guitar, bass played by George Boon, and Hans Simons on drums.
Enjoy the track and again, it's recorded in quarantine time,  3 home-recording locations, and mixed & produced by Frans Frijns

CALEDONIAN SLEEPER

The Body Electric is founded by Dutch jazz drummer Hans Simons in september 2014, with the intention to create new interpretations of the post-1968 jazz-rock legacy. Started as a quartet ( keys,guitar,bass & drums) the set list focussed on Miles Davis, Weather Report and Billy Cobham. Today the band is a trio:  guitar, bass & drums, and musically moving to electric jazz, The set list consist besides tunes from Miles Davis and Billy Cobham, more guitar oriented jazz : John Scofield , Pat Metheny , Allan Holdsworth,  arrangements of tunes of Eric Vloeimans' Gatecrash, self-arranged jazz standards and band compositions.
