Brittney Wright - Be Alright

My name is TaMorris Pettway, a native of Mobile, AL. I am a graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School. After graduation, I earned an associate degree in Mortuary Science and B.A. in Business. Through my five years of giving service in the funeral realm, I desired to give more to my community than providing funeral services. I was the program coordinator for the ACT program and founder of Mobile teen town hall meetings. The teen town hall meetings were my favorite because it allowed the teens to have a voice of what they are facing in their lives. I volunteered for Teen Focus and Dearborn YMCA golf Tournament. To be a positive role model to our young men, I was a member Trinity Gardens Park Association and coached a Bay Bear Rookie League. I worked at the Boys and Girls Club over two years where I educated students in character building skills.

Now how did I get into radio? Well, I am a jack of all trades and master of all. I learned to DJ as a teenager from DJ Rodski and DJ Mack, the legendary DJs of Mobile (shout out).

I developed an ear in how to blend music in such a way where other people could enjoy it, but rather than play music in limited spaces, I figured it would be better to share the good news with the whole world through the use of broader network, internet radio.
