A producer and DJ, MASCHA emerges from the heart of East Berlin, where she was born into the pulsating rhythms of the city's music culture in 1996. Growing up under the influence deeply rooted in Berlin's club scene, MASCHA absorbed the essence of sound from an early age.

In her teens, she began immersing herself in Berlin's party scene, captivated by its electric energy, a fascination she has carried with her ever since. Now, residing between the vibrant beats of Berlin and the dynamic pulse of Mexico City for the past 6 years, MASCHA draws inspiration from her experiences as a young raver girl, infusing her music with a nostalgic yet forward-thinking edge.

Beyond her role as a music creator and performer, Mascha is an active participant in the Queer community. Whether organizing DJ workshops, hosting Panel Talks exclusively by FLINTA* individuals, or producing and performing her music, she stands as a dynamic force, contributing to both the music scene and community empowerment. We are thrilled to host this mix today which is an exhilarating journey through her sound.

The Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner took us on a heartfelt journey exploring new sounds & feeling the rhythm with the whole body. Her energetic mixing style creates a constant momentum, keeping the audience engaged over a long period of time, consisting mostly of her own tracks combined with highly effective tunes a la situation, given by the ability to empathise with the audience and reading the room. 

When asked what inspires her the most, Valerie states: “Experiments with modular synthesizers. Life lessons & emotions that cant be put into words. Music is my therapy & clubs are spaces to grow in.”

The Queer Australian/Italian-Armenian, multifaceted artist, Kristian Bahoudian aka Kris Baha, swapped the parched red earth and searing midday sun of the Australian landscape for the brutalist communist-era apartment blocks and slate-grey skies of former East Berlin. Kris is now a fixture in Berlin’s club scene and has toured most of the world as a DJ & live artist with his own unique production style of cyber industrial, EBM, wave, post punk, and early ‘90s IDM mutations. Remixing some of the scene’s most notable artists such as Boy Harsher and techno pop lord Boys Noize, Kris has garnered respect and trust in the electronic music scene for the last 13 years. To respond to the current AI revolution Kris uploaded himself to the cyber ether through his latest project: GHOSTS IN THE MACHIИE which was released on Fleisch Records in October of 2023. In April of 2024, Kris continued the cyber theme announcing 6 dancefloor ready body melter’s on Kindcrime Records, released on May 14th. Today we're thrilled to bring you this dynamic journey through the artist's multiple sound and genre mutations.
