After over two years we are finally are back with another split EP for our 12' Vinyl Series 'No Boundaries' this time for the edition number three, we are extremely happy to have 3 Illegal Alien members involved in this record. For the A Side we got an incredible collaboration between the greats Mari Mattham, Ricardo Garduno and the one and only Stanislav Tolkachev who is no stranger and the label, the Ukrainian artists has been releasing on the Illegal Alien Records for a very long time and it is a pleasure to always have him back and to complete this fantastic release for the B Side we got the mighty French Producer DJ Saint Pierre.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Violent. The Polish artist began the project in 2010 fusing heavy industrial with a haze of occultism. With releases on Dynamic Reflection, Bipolar Disorder, Abyss and Nocturnal Frequencies, he's also played throughout Europe as well as Warsaw's 999, where he is a resident and he will be launching a new label, Lethal Curse soon. New Brvtalism No. 282 takes us deep inside his crushing sound, moving through hard hitting techno, industrial and metal influences for a completely brvtal trip.

Phrygian Mode is an emerging DJ and producer based in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he began studying and performing music at a young age. While beginning his path as a multi-instrumentalist and being educated in classical music, he has long been an enthusiast of darker sounds. Post punk auditory, eerie and aggressive rhythms is what inspired his ambience. While experimenting with his own sound and vision for his music, he is a resident DJ for OSM Tapes, and his music is characterized as raw, industrial techno with explosive EBM elements. When it comes to his own producing approach, a gloomy and nostalgic style develops through stormy and powerful bass lines.

Podcast 166 - Massive Detonation x Brutal Forms

For this edition of the Nightshade series, Phase Fatale has created an aggressive industrial techno mix. This mix displays his various influences which range from EBM, Techno, and Industrial music. 

"Phase Fatale is a techno project of now Berlin-based young DJ and producer Hayden Payne from New York. Hayden has a unique background of playing with numerous cold wave and minimal synth bands including Automelodi and his own band Dream Affair and studying Music Technology at New York University. Phase Fatale is an artistic endeavor that’s born out of his various musical ventures over the past 7 years combined with his penchant for the darker, harder and industrial-leaning techno. Phase Fatale demolishes the border between music and noise to create a new progressive vision of techno – the sound of future war, whether it’s captured on vinyl or an extract of the digital static.

For live sets Phase Fatale uses exclusively hardware to achieve his distinguishable sound while his DJ sets features a unique blend of techno laced with EBM and synth gems. His 2014 debut EP Skyscraper on Italian label Avant! Records moves between noise-ridden soundscapes and minimal industrial techno rhythms, capturing the spirits of both EBM classics and modern contemporaries. His next releases are due out in early 2015 on Berlin-based label [Aufnahme + Wiedergabe] followed by Jealous God. Phase Fatale has played alongside acts such as Clock DVA and Cold Cave around the globe from Los Angeles to Moscow."

IGNIS FERALIS, the second chapter in a four-part cycle, evokes the elements of a cursed and decaying world — a planet collapsing under its own corruption, where the future flickers uncertainly and the abyss draws closer.

Here, fire becomes sound incarnate: a percussion of flames striking against silence, each spark a relentless beat. It swells like a melody unraveling in distortion, crackling as it spreads. Its heat is a low vibration that shudders through bone, its dance a hypnotic sequence of minor tones, merciless and entrancing. At its heart, the blaze is a mechanical rhythm of devastation, primal yet precise, consuming everything in its pulse.

There’s something about Document One’s highly individual style which has resonated with DJs and ravers alike. Throughout 2016, their releases took up almost permanent residence at the top end of DnB download charts and in the sets of the most discerning selectors. They de ned their own sound, culling elements from multiple genres and weaving them into dancefloor mayhem. And, if this release is anything to go by, they’re going to do it all over again in 2017.

The ethereal horns and vocal sample in the intro set the scene, building an edge of tension. It’s got all of that smoky moodiness that Document One can deliver, combining tech darkness with a jazz sensibility. Delicate hints of percussion mark the way, and there’s still no hint as to whether we’re heading towards laid-back cool or road-hard savagery in the drop. It’s Document One, after all, and they can do either.
