The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Unhuman & Surit. The collaboration between the artists began in 2018 with a great 12" release on Black Sun Records. Unhuman, best known for his output on Bite, Instruments of Discipline, Liber Null, Veleno Viola and more has carved a unique sound oscillating between power electronics, techno, EBM, noise and beyond. Well known for being half of punishing techno project NX1, Surit has released solo material on Body Theory, Nicz and his own Nexe Records imprint. Raär | RAW Escape From Reality

The Colombian born, Berlin-based producer and DJ has been tearing through the scene with his unique sound of modular synths, intense distortions and rave ready energy. With releases on labels like Detroit Underground and collaborations with artists VSK, Codex Empire, Giant Swan and Crystal Geometry, Valenzuela is an exciting name to watch.

New Brvtalism No. 236 - Brayan Valenzuela (Live in Colombia)

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Marina Aleksandra. The Warsaw-born, Wrocław-based producer and DJ began her musical journey at the early age of 15 as the lead singer for the Twirls.  She also graduated from the Breslau School of Modern Music and stormed onto the scene in 2018, quickly playing at some of Poland’s top clubs and then moving on to international stages like London’s Inferno, Berlin’s Kit Kat, Hysteria Paris and more. Characterized by a heavy, industrial sound, Aleksandra has released music on labels like Coup, Insane Industry and her debut EP was released by Advanced Black. 

New Brvtalism 238 continues to evolve her sound and showcases raw, body music, mutant techno and industrial strains. Also be on the look out for new material from Aleksandra later this year on Brvtalist Sound Recordings.

This digital release comes by the hand of Spanish duo Crime as Service whose specialty is textured obscure techno with a passion for abstract ambiences and solid grooves.

The sound voyage starts with Access, a beatless ambient exercise reminding us of the sound of a spaceship floating out there with no gravity. Drones, background noise, and subtle voices.

​

Assault to Scada follows, starting with a continuous sequence that floats over a solid kick, main sequence’s filter rises from below and soon new textures are added filling the stereo field. No sudden changes, no breakdowns, obsession and hypnosis as a mixing tool.

​

Spudger has a more shuffled rhythmic approach, with more percussive elements and flanged filtered synth lines. Again obsession and tension as leitmotiv.

​

Closing the release Dread Pirate Roberts flows over similar parameters, heavy sub bass action, a groove that grows progressively, phased and flanged components and a linear and mental arrangement.

​

Four cuts that work as a concept, rising from beatless to intense, excellent for those with proper mixing skills who can get the most out of these pristine sounding tools.
