Alessandro Adriani is a lot of things – producer, DJ, live performer and label owner – but above all he is a tireless music researcher. The Berlin-based Italian goes further than your average “crate digger” in pursuit of information about sounds, styles, artists and record labels, devoting countless hours to unearthing the untold stories behind the music he loves, regardless of when it was made

In 2019 he started a music collaboration with the electro producer The Hacker as 'Amato & Adriani', followed by a release and an extensive tour around Europe. Aside from his work in releasing forgotten gems and up to the minute synth incantations, Alessandro Adriani has also been quietly issuing out his own music for labels like Mannequin, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Pinkman and Jealous God.

The Forgotten CLXVIII: Alessandro Adriani

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Peter Kirn. The work of Berlin-based electronic musician, media artist, and writer spans multiple genres and mediums. He has released on Detroit Underground, Wunderblock Records, Instruments of Discipline, Kotä Records, and his own Establishment, among others as well as scored concert music to work with modern dance and techno. He has built and writes daily at CDM (cdm.link) and is co-creator of the MeeBlip hardware synthesizer line. He has also worked on building collaborative laboratories for performance and technological exploration, including co-facilitating AI Art Labs for MUTEK/MUTEK.JP and GAMMA with curator Natalia Fuchs (ARTYPICAL), and has directed the MusicMakers Hacklab with CTM Festival since its first edition in 2013.

Look out for an upcoming release on Femanyst's Dark Carousel label and a dark ambient LP for Industrial Complexx. He also recently started a residency for Shanghai Community Radio (SHCR), plus a new collaboration with singer-producer Pari San. While his work had tended to international projects, he's managed to keep threads moving through pandemic interruptions, including work with MUTEK, Patch.XR and their VR patchathon, and co-curating EMA Expo 2021 with Kotä Moscow and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA).

Techno music always was a substance, made of contrasts - it was born in Motor City, befriended man and machine, combined live emotions and technical precision. These features should be the best to describe music from young Russian producer Aleks aka Unbalance. Born in Siberia, Unbalance debuted in 2008 and it took a few years to create his own unique style. In his music you can find distinct symbiosis of strong emotions and industrial themes, which is eclectic and conjoins with technically accurate treatment in music story making.
In a series of records, released on the same name record label, Unbalance could realize his ideas fully - this fresh sound was a bombshell and it was demonstrated with his live performance in Berghain club, world’s techno Mecca, only a year and series of gigs in another legendary club Tresor.
When got support of techno scene old stagers, Unbalance proceed to develop his ideas, expanding a verges of techno and collaborating with a lot of significant artists in Rebalance project. In the artist's achievment list vinyl releases on such labels as ARTS​, Pole Group​, RAWAX​, Solid. Grooves​, participation in the legendary Fabric compilation from Steffi​, etc. In 2018, artist released his debut LP "TEN" on own label Unbalance Records, completing the history of the imprint with a multifaceted and a deep utterance at the border between techno, ambient and broken rhythms. At the moment, Aleks is a resident and one of the ideologists of the techno-association Monasterio, Moscow. In his performances Unbalance endeavors to combine a whole techno ages, gives his due to classic techno, gets inspiration in futuristic sound and mixing it with a modern techno wave, which is what he is. His style of performing is so close to his own works and it creates unique atmosphere on a dance floor, no matter is it private party or big rave in Berlin Berghain.

She defines music as a liberation of emotions and expression of her state of mind. For this reason, every single composition represents a different journey driven by these motives, keeping a distinct sound without conforming to particular styles.
