WOMEN LIFE FREEDOM [DEES-WLF] is a special charity project curated by Deestricted & Aida Arko, including many Iranian artists, that will be released on the International Women's Day, the 8th of March. It has been created to collect money for WOMAN, LIFE, FREEDOM (link in bio) and most importantly to shed light on the current situation of Iran and raise awareness & support the Women in Iran from our scene!

“Woman, Life, Freedom” is a popular political Kurdish slogan and an association that supports global actions in solidarity with Iranian women.

The use of the slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" in Iran goes back to the series of protests following the death of Mahsa Amini. The slogan was first chanted at her funeral in Saqqez and then was heard in the initial protests in Sanandaj.

Iran is facing the first ever women revolution in its history, started by the death of Mahsa Amini on September 16th 2022. Ever since then people in Iran have shown tremendous acts of bravery risking their lives on the streets, fighting their violent dictator regime, seeking basic human rights and freedom.

By now the regime has responded to the protesters with pure cruelty. Thousands have been arrested or killed, disappeared having critical medical conditions, brutally tortured in jails and sentenced to the death penalty without any court cases or support from the international organizations!
A nation of 8 million citizens & over 4000 years of history needs our international support right now.

This is the goal of this special release that would be supported from a charity event will happen in Berlin 7th of March at @about.blank.berlin with help of amazing local and a massive representation of Iranian all FLINTA djs.
All profits will be donated to the organization helping women in Iran with the ongoing revolution.

Öspiel is one of the artists who is contributing to this (nowadays) obscure branch of techno and he does it flawlessly. Void+1 succeeded in acquiring his latest offering of razor-sharp, intelligently engineered productions in the form of a conceptual EP called "And Still I Drift". It consists of 4 tracks that will keep your mind engaged and become an essential part of your sets due to their club-oriented nature.While the inspiration-origins of all tracks are not entirely clear, we obtained intel that one of them was constructed around a scene from one of the most famous, space/time movies of all time and that another one was created as tribute to a deceased Artist who he admires.
EPs that are simultaneously and equally as effective as they are interesting are a rare breed. "And Still I Drift" definitely falls under that category.
Telling you to keep an eye on Öspiel is not necessary, as you will surely do it anyway after you hear such a marvelous EP as this one.

Premiere: Squaric - So You Give Me More [DRL03]

London-based DJ and producer Rommek releases on 47, showcasing his signature brand of seething, fragmented techno in this formidable label debut.

"Arkho" opens the EP with rolling drums before a heavily distorted synth line pierces the atmosphere, evoking tension and unease before launching into a furious lead. On "Silverlock," broken drums skitter across a droning soundscape, while a glitched-out melody adds a dark tint. "Decipher" squirms with a similarly syncopated rhythm and ice cold textures, topped with crisp hi-hats. Closing track "Synthetic Dream" is threatening but never overly dark, stitching weighty drums between tactile, warped-out synth notes. A chilling cut that conveys Rommek's shadowy aesthetic all the way through.

47037 will be released on August 25th, available as limited edition vinyl and digital formats.
