The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Driada. One of our favorite Russian multi-disciplinary artists returns with her second album called Край / Land. The sound-producer and singer-songwriter from Moscow delivers her release under a slogan “I will tell you a fairy-tale” -  of mermaids and dragons. Of a dark land where you shouldn’t go because creatures in armor wander there. Of a fairy who runs with her lover into the woods, leaving her sisters. Of a round dance from which people disappear. Of a little house made of bark and moss.

From cyber-folk to synth pop and EBM, DRIADA creates her musical net out of three languages: Russian, English and French. She continues to push her sound to other realms and always delivers striking works which blur the lines between genres and take the listener to another place. 

 Horrowod is a track about a round dance from which people disappear. The track name embraces the Russian word «horovod» (which means a round dance) turning it into a bit more horrific direction. Our favorite Russian punks, Locked Club mark their return to Tram Planet with the ‘Atom Hell’ EP, a 4-track assault that continues on their destructive path. With the title track opener (“Atom Hell”) a pulsing distorted bassline saturates as the fluttering melody drives on for maximum effect. Electronic Body Music is in full-form here; whether it be the pumping wildcard “Skreamer,” the hand-drum heavy “Memphis Mumbai” for the more adventurous-minded, or the Memphis rap-infused “What”—all make for destructive weapons for both club and body.

Combining techno with punk, melancholy with aggression, mysticism with sensuality, the artist delivers an infectious body cut which stays with you until the very end…
