It's something we never did but we felt like sharing a track of the forthcoming release of lunar convoy's recent label efja (@efja). We hope you'll enjoy this.

Julia Häller (@juicy_chewlie) is a producer & graphic designer from Bern (Switzerland). She's taking double duty in the 8-track compilation: offering a singular track called 'Redae' and creating the release artwork.

For its final release of the season, Bella Ursa is proud to unveil a new series dedicated to the unearthing of undisclosed material: The Memories Series. For this first opus, Ostalgie delved into his almost-forgotten hard-drive content to create a delicate litany stemming from ethereal jam sessions, circa 2015 to 2020. 

‘Discordant Memories’ is an ode to all the neglected, barely loved, or lost music. All tracks have been collected to offer a new perspective and rekindle distant memories. Whether birthed in his parent’s basement or at some friend’s place, it recalls moments of pure bliss, turbulent chaos, or meditative solitude that inspired this romantic soul to infuse his own blend of electronic melancholia. 

It will be released on all digital platforms, along with a custom CD designed by Raphael Ott (AKA Itako).

Few words from the artist :

This album retraces a path of life, compiles emotions, and sets the rhythm of memories. Music has accompanied me everywhere I have been and has never left me. The tracks you are about to hear are raw, they were never meant to be finished. They were born out of creative impulses and spontaneous jams, made in a sober state of mind or not.
 
Recorded in my parents' basement, in friends’ apartments, during a lockdown, during depressions or euphorias. They are the forgotten ones, the unloved ones, the ugly ones, the drafts, the distorted ones, the imperfect ones. I wanted to give them an existence and a purpose so that they could find an appreciative ear.
 
Some were made with more or less equipment; analog has always been my thing. I can't make artificial music. I want to thank Denis for the idea of this project, Raphaël for the artistic direction, my mother Joëlle for the cover photo, as well as everyone who follows me or supports me on a daily basis.

Label bio:

Like a living cosmic anomaly, always on the lookout for the unexpected, the Bella Ursa mothership yearns for the Beyond. Bringing aboard like-minded individuals at each step of the way, it’s constantly moving closer to its destination.

Having started out as a passion project by jack-of-all-sonic-trades Letherique in early 2020, right around the time the world fell apart, Bella Ursa hopes to escape Earth’s velocity in pursuit of new, uncharted horizons. Ever ready to embrace new things, it soon started to offer unusual and carefully-crafted collector items with a strong penchant for DIY in order to host an enthusiastically curated selection of electronic oddities.

Fret recorded live at Dazed & Confuzed, New River Studios London

This is a recording of Mick Harris performing at Dazed & Confuzed in London. An hour-long apocalyptic assault of crushing beats, rhythmic intensity and dubbed-out noisescapes from the master himself. The set includes "Stuck in the queue at Salford Priors", which evolved into the "Salford Priors Versions" on Combat Recordings and Opal Tapes a year later.

Mick Harris (born Michael John Harris; 12 October 1967) commonly known and credited both as Mick Harris or occasionally M.J. Harris, is an English musician.

Harris was born in Birmingham, and started out in the 1980s as a drummer working with various punk rock and grindcore bands (most notably pioneering grindcore band Napalm Death). As a drummer he is generally credited with popularising the blast beat, which has since become a key component of much of extreme metal and grindcore. Since the mid-1990s, Harris has worked primarily in electronic and ambient music, his main projects being Scorn and Lull. According to Allmusic, Harris's "genre-spanning activities have done much to jar the minds, expectations, and record collections of audiences previously kept aggressively opposed." 
In 2017, Mick Harris returned after six years of silence under the name of Fret with a new song called Lift Method that was released through Soundcloud. A new album called Over Depth was released in October 2017 as double vinyl / DL through Karlrecords label and 2 releases on Lies records inside 2018 and 2019.
