It's time for Mirror Records - 2019 marks the year of the record label's birth! It's been in the making for many, many months and we're very proud to finally share the very first EP with you!We are extremely happy to announce Bock & Fuchs as our very first artist on Mirror Records. Of course, it's not a coincidence that this outstanding electronic live act features our premiere. We discovered Bock & Fuchs a year ago, almost exactly at the time when the idea of Mirror Records came up. And we immediately fell in love with his unique take on electronic music. With drifty grooves, crisp live drums and massive synths, Bock & Fuchs played himself into our hearts and we instantly knew he would be the perfect match for us.Monsterfox is the name of the title track and like the prey on it's flight from the name-giving predator, the lead synth shows a small glimpse now and then until it finally breaks free when the drop kicks in and the wild hunt truly starts! Monsterfox was already the perfect track for every situation but then Bock & Fuchs sent us Signal and we were completely blown away. Signal futures an outer-worldly lead synth, a heavy bass line and catchy percussions all over a stomping kick - perfect for those peak-time moments we all seek and love! To top off the EP, the third and final track called Ka Nalu Nui was the perfect complement. Ka Nalu Nui, hawaiian for the great wave, truly lives up to its name: Catchy sound bites play around a dreamy synth and a heavy bass kicks in from time to time, slowly building up, until it finally breaks like the waves on the shore. Rafael Cerato is our first remixer. We were following his work for a long time and it is a big honor to have him on board for this first release. He took on Monsterfox, making it a little more straight forward and heavier. Granting it a technoid touch that suits both, the track and the label, very well. On the other hand, Suspensus rebuild Signal to an even harder track. The rising talent added a raw and driving touch to the track, while speeding it up and therefore adding the last missing pieces to complete our first release.

The mid-morning sun illuminated the dust particles floating gently in front of the open window. The way each particle slowly drifted added a certain stillness to the atmosphere. It felt tranquil, but tranquillity was so easily and quickly disturbed. The slightest breeze could sabotage the idle nature of these levitating particles, causing them to fly around in chaos and confusion, before eventually returning to their peaceful state. 

‘Call Waiting’ is the opening track from Stranded’s new self-released EP, Long Dusk. A strong disco beat drives the song, as dissonant synths stab in between the reverb-drenched vocals and funky plucked guitars. Marking his sophomore release following his debut EP Celine’s Dilemma, which came out in 2018 on Optimo Music, Long Dusk is inspired by road trips through the American countryside, made amidst the artist’s move from Nashville to Atlanta.

Born in quarantine when nature sounded much louder than usual, VozTerra a local non-profit organization invited people to listen to nature in 'Sounds from your window'. People in Colombia and around the world took the opportunity of the isolation to listen and record ths sounds of nature. The material, together with soundscapes previously recorded in the Van der Hammen Reserve and in the La Conejera Wetland, in Bogotá, were given to DJs from the electronic music scene to create musical pieces which are now part of the ‘Reserva/Voz Terra’ compilation.
The alliance of Kaputt.wav, VozTerra and the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live, is the compilation of unconventional actions that musicians and people from all over the world took to express their interest in caring for nature with the hope of inspiring people to take action to care for biodiversity and mitigate climate change.

"Marble” is the off the new EP of the same name and today we bring you the killer remix from Belarusian "Russian doomer" post-punk band Molchat Doma (Russian: Молчат Дома). The post-punk/coldwave moniker for the music of Trondheim, Norway-based artist Karl Morten Dahl, “Marble” also features UK artist Paris Alexander. Antipole's latest album Radial Glare (2019) was released on Young & Cold Records (Germany) and Dahl continues the great output with this latest EP. 

Marble  is out on January 8th on all digital platforms and you can pick yours up on Bandcamp.

In a village on the southern side of the Alborz Mountain, by the Caspian Sea, lived an old woman with her beautiful daughter. Her name was Moon. She had silky white skin like the color of snow and breathtakingly long black hair that hung over her slender shoulders. Everybody loved Moon and Moon loved life. She woke up at dawn, made tea for her mother, and prayed on the terrace, facing the Alborz Mountain, which were pointing in the direction of Mecca. Moon had a beautiful melodic voice and she loved to sing. After her morning prayer, she sat on the terrace, facing the rising sun, as it slowly peeked out from behind the mountain, spreading its rays over the valley below, and then, second by second, slowly spread a shaft of light over the sea. She loved to gaze at the unfolding of a new day from her terrace. She praised God and sang a harmonious tune, first in a soft voice, repeating the words, “Praise to God who created the heaven and earth.” Then as the beam of light widened over the valley, her voice continued its enchanting tune, in harmony with cardinals singing in magnolia trees in the yard. She repeated over and over, “Praise to God who created the heaven and earth.” Majnoon are bringing the silver moon into the shores of Istanbul. This is their first offering for Shango Records. There two tracks will guide you to a trip in the East side. Antonio Alterino, Touzani and Duygu Civas are drinking Raki and eating Baklava.

Black Dahlia (@musicblackdahlia ) is a Sydney based electronic music project fusing elements of new beat, EBM & industrial. Along with live and DJ performances in her native Sydney she has also released on labels such as Up North Records (Au), Deep Scan (Au), Insane Industry (Italy), Idlestates (Scotland), and soon to be Motorik Records (Au) as well as this first release on Berlin based X-IMG. 

Her upcoming EP “Animasochist” on X-IMG is an explosion of sex, fetishism, and empowerment; samples from vintage sexploitation and pornographic films, interviews about fetishism, and 80s cinema milieu paired with the sounds of New Beat and EBM, which has become Black Dahlia's signature sound. Digital release February 5th with tapes to ship shortly after.
