Festival season is on and Nation of Godwana is about to happen only a stone‘s throw away from Berlin. This month‘s podcast is hosted by an artist our a&r Michal saw playing at that very festival and decided to reach out to and invite him to contribute tomorrow podcast series. 

Florian has been involved with records and music production for about two decades and expresses his creativity through his passion for electronic music. Based in Haldensleben, he is an outspoken sympathizer and lover of people and enjoys merging vinyl with great finesse, drawing from his extensive DJ experience.

Florian runs the labels Charmin Records, Too Rough 4 Radio, and, recently, Boerde Records. Together with Angelina Rose, he forms Future Architects. Keen observers may find him under various other pseudonyms.

His musical spectrum encompasses a wide range of genres, from house and techno to drum'n'bass and breakbeat. There is hardly a niche in electronic music where this tech enthusiast hasn't experimented.

Equally remarkable is Florian's eye for the human aspect behind the artists. Music is created by people, so understanding the person behind the musical attitude is an important indicator for the 43-year-old when considering whether someone fits his labels or not.

Florian's approach in the studio is meticulous and goal-oriented. He uses his collection of hardware to pose a question, to create a sound theme, and then to find a fitting answer through harmonious sounds. His obsession lies in constantly discovering novel sounds and themes—an eternal quest for perfection.

Always striving to be better, newer, deeper, and never finished.
