i showed up.
i gave love the way love is meant to be given; fully, painfully, truthfully.
i asked for what i needed without shame.
i waited.

i hoped, and held on, even when it hurt like hell.

at least now i know to look out for the love i truly deserve, and not one that i just have to tolerate.
i tried my best with her, i always did. and my best was beautiful, even if it wasnt received right.
i didnt leave because i stopped loving her, i left because she stopped showing up in the way love needs.
and thats a valid reason.
i was always the one that spoke up about a problem. i was always the one that spoke up about an imbalance between us. i never was the one that "started the arguments" i was the one that tried fixing things when i saw that they were broken. true love tries its best for one another, and not just let it rot, minimalizing the issue as if it "isnt a big deal". true love tries for one another even if they dont like it, knowing it will bring peace to their partner, knowing their partner would do the same for them, which makes it equal. im getting the love i want, youre getting the love you want. and i gave her the love she said she always wanted, she told me my effort and love i gave her were healing everything i hadnt broke.
but its pretty selfish knowing that i was doing you a favour with nothing in return
thats the imbalance between us. its not fair that you get what you always wanted while i get nothing in return. were supposed to be a team. im not your free provider. no one should be. the cost is loving that person the way they want to be loved. and its fair. its real. its just something that she couldnt be bothered doing. 
and thats on her, not on me.
she showed me she doesnt want to do that. and i dont like to play unfair. therefore GOODBYE.
we could have had something real if she just tried for me like i try for her
but its too late now, whats done is done. my mind has been made up, and yours wasnt planning on changing, only on lying, just to keep me with you for a little more of my love
and thats all the closure ill ever need.
