California Taps Health Care Money to Pay for Homeless Services

Homelessness continues to rise in Orange County. It jumped almost 8% in this year’s homeless count. After years of criticism that the county was ignoring the problem, it is certainly making up ground this year. It opened three new shelters in the past year, and is considering plans for three more. That includes a new program whose goal is not only to house people, but to make sure they never fall into homelessness again.  David Gorn reports from Anaheim.
