The Carnival Dogs are a rock band from Central Scotland.  The idea for the band formed initially in 2009 when guitarist/vocalist Iain McMurtrie registered and took part in the 2009 RMP Challenge.  Bassist Gavin Hynes was recruited to handle the bass guitar.    

The bands sound is rock based however several other influences such as metal, indie, acoustic and grunge can also be heard throughout the songs.
