In The Shadows

When SE-London country rockers Grantura went belly-up in 2009 guitarist/songwriter Rick Blackman hatched a plan for a new outfit based around his back catalogue of classic 60s-tinged pop tunes. After months trawling London for the right voice Blackman hooked up with soulful Brixton-based chanteuse Kate Thomas. The band started rehearsing under Clapham Junction railway arches with ex-Grantura rhythm section Davey and Jim aka 'the dream team' and when master of the pedal steel Dave Rothon (Redlands Palomino company) came on board something fantastic was born. 

The five piece are currently recording their debut record at Gravity Shack studios in Tooting.
