Chacun dans son cocon, ses préoccupations, ses peurs, ses a priori et finalement c’est chacun pour soi. Chacun pour soi dans le métro, sur la route, à la plage, au resto, au travail, en famille, dans la rue, au musée, au cinéma… Alors même avec la meilleure des volontés on s’y habitue et après trois-quatre sourires hasardeux au chauffeur, au voisin de siège, ou au serveur et que la réponse est aussi chaleureuse que celle de la muraille de protection Israélienne, on fait plus attention. On se referme, se replonge dans la morosité ambiante, on souffle, on ne se regarde plus. Et ça devient normal au point que quand un inconnu nous tient la porte ou nous adresse à son tour une parole complice ou un sourire spontané, on s’en rend même plus compte et on réagit pas. Ou même pire on se demande qu’est-ce qui a bien pu lui prendre : « Il se fout de ma gueule lui ou quoi? ». 
Et ce n’est pas uniquement comme ça dans nos rues. C’est pareil dans les hémicycles, les conseils des ministres, les sommets diplomatiques etc… Chacun ses petits intérêts. Forcément on ne bouge pas pour les syriens, les kurdes, les palestiniens, les tibétains… Pas non plus d’accords internationaux pour protéger notre terre nourricière qu’on transforme en fosse septique… Hélas! La liste est infinie.
Vous l’aurez compris, le septième titre de l’album « Each Man For Himself » tire le triste constat de notre égocentrisme, trait de caractère humain aux conséquences révoltantes. L’inspiration m’est venue de cette phrase imagée de Bob Marley que j’ai reprise à mon compte : « Chaque homme pense que son fardeau est le plus lourd ». 
Merci à Clément pour l’accompagnement au Djembé et à Loïc pour le mixage.
