Undertow by John Mackey is an original piece he wrote containing mixed meters back and forth between 7/8 and 4/4. The Piece was premiered May 13, 2008. This recording was played by the Hill Country Middle School Band.  I own no rights to this song.

My first attempt at a piano sonata. Please excuse the fact that the fermatas don't even hold at all hardly and so there is no smooth transition between them.

Insane brass quintet piece that is high in difficulty due to constantly changing time signatures and harsh in tone.  The beats do not always line up together or end on one, thus thrown into disjunction.

The origin of the word notci- is Latin for night and -phobia is Greek, meaning fear of.  Also known as “nyctophobia”, meaning fear of the dark.  Symptoms of Noctiphobia include shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, anxiety, the feeling of panic and the feeling of terror.  Noctiphobes usually experience a fear of possible or imagined dangers like being afraid of evil creatures lurking about, concealed by the darkness.  Imagine you are running through the night trying to escape the darkness and whatever is lurking within not too far behind.
