I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR LIKE A MONTH NOW AND I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO FINISHING IT AND AAAA I LOVE IT!!! Thsi was one of my many covers I started but forgot about and came back to, so I've got like three or four left. This song was a lot of fun to mix, and I went a little crazy at some parts with mixing as well as tuning. I tried out a few differant styles of both mixing and tuning than what I'm used to, but I think everything turned out pretty good.

【Prince Desmond: Fire】Undead Enemy【UTAUカバー】

I've been working on some Utau infrastructure stuff to make voicebank creation easier, one bit being a powershell script that can automatically alias VCV voicebanks (which is pretty much done now!) I also wrote a new 8 mora reclist and an oto to go with, matching the bpm of Oremo's BGM sounds. I wanted to test out how well it all worked, so I spent about 30 minutes recording a test voicebank, and I emphasize, ON MY GAMING HEADSET, then about 2 1/2 hours otoing it all, and OH MY GOD! This voicebank has more character than any bank I've created in the past!!! I can't believe how lively it sounds! Even the sound quality isn't too bad.

It's been a long time since I've cared about Utau, and I don't know if I'll ever go full tilt into it again, but it was really fun making this bank! And I'm super inspired to make better quality ones once I have a soundproof space to set up my studio equipment. If this bank sounds THIS GOOD on a GAMING HEADSET, I'm excited to see what I can do with an actual microphone!

I find I have the most fun in voicebank creation. I don't really enjoy tuning, but I'm getting better at mixing. I'll push myself to tune more in the future if I do ever decide to mess with Utau again, but for now, have this plug and play cover :D
