Galdosiana para orquesta nació gracias a un co-encargo entre la Joven Orquesta de Canarias (JOCAN) y la Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España (OCNE) como homenaje a Benito Pérez Galdós en el centenario de su fallecimiento que tuvo lugar el 4 de enero de 1920. El estreno a cargo de la OCNE tuvo lugar los días 28, 29 y 30 de mayo de 2021 en el Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid bajo la dirección de Carlos Miguel Prieto.
