On Silk Sofa we are proud to present the brand new artist album from Deepshader & Nazca (Moldova / USA). "Ashes From The Sky" consists of over a dozen outstanding chillout and downtempo pieces.

The album intro starts off with lush bell melodies, which are later accompanied by a tranquil breakbeat. Just released as a single with an accompanying remix by Gorm Sorensen, "Covered By The Blue Fog" includes mesmerizing guitar riffs and sidechained pad lines. "My Rainy Day" quickly introduces a hypnotizing soundscape, featuring captivating arpeggio lines and a soft breakbeat. A memorable guitar riff is showcased in the 4th track, "From Now You Are Home", which also includes myriad underlying atmospheric elements. "If You're A Bird" consists of an almost haunting piano line, as well as floating pad layers in the background and a calm guitar riff. The next song, "I'm A Bird Too", perfectly follows in the footsteps of the previous one, using subtle piano lines and gentle guitar strokes. "Forever In The Night" contains a blissful atmosphere, including tranquil guitar riffs and lush percussion elements. A slow 4/4 beat is introduced in "The Soulflayer", which also showcases subtle choir elements and airy pad lines underneath. A delightful soundscape is quickly established in "Tripping On My Nightly Dreams", in which we witness mesmerizing pad layers and subtle guitar riffs in the foreground. "Living With The Ghosts" starts out with lush guitar riffs that gently guide the listener throughout this breath-taking piece. Featuring Rob Phipps (USA), "Antikythera" consists of haunting male vocal stems, as well as mood-setting guitar melodies in the background. "The Timewriter", a collaboration with S.Bluyer (Moldova), features an intriguing breakbeat and intricate sound effects, as well as an interesting spoken word sample. A stunning atmosphere is quickly established in "Lucy", a collaboration with Max Farewell (Moldova). Piano strokes, guitar melodies and subtle choir elements unite beautifully. The album outro features excellent textures and enjoyable, subtle guitar melodies, as well as blissful pad layers in the background.

In "Lou-Lou," a stunning atmosphere is quickly established, including captivating guitar riffs, background pads, and lovely pluck melodies. As the song progresses, subtle percussion elements emerge, and the various melodic layers build up and combine in perfect unison.

"Precious" takes off with a truly captivating soundscape, which features deep bassline notes, myriad melodic layers, and well-structured percussion elements. The different melodies spellbind the listener, making it an indelible aural experience.

Delayed piano strokes introduce "Last Train," and captivating pad layers and a frisky beat take over soon thereafter. Hypnotizing synth notes emerge in the break, brilliantly followed up by a variety of distinctive pad sounds in the background.

Dutch label veteran Manu Zain is back on our imprint with a brand new 4-track EP, "You Think You Have Time," featuring a collection of delightful chillout and downtempo cuts.

The title cut, "You Think You Have Time," begins with subtle arpeggio layers and calm percussion elements. A blissful, light melody is presented soon thereafter, which continues to play its delightful theme throughout the song.

"Daybreak" features an array of absolutely stunning arpeggio melodies, all of which combine beautifully and create a gorgeous soundscape.

"Komorebi" takes off with a subtle beat, while a captivating bassline and intricate piano strokes lurk in the background. Later, the beat intensifies, and we witness the addition of lush guitar layers, soothing pads, and enjoyable rhodes stabs.

Rounding out the EP, "Innocence" takes off with a strikingly mesmerizing collection of arpeggio melodies, which is later accompanied by a frisky breakbeat. As the song progresses, more layers are added to both the theme and the percussion elements, which heightens the intensity of the already captivating atmosphere.

The Clouds Below began as an inspired idea by Malcolm Guess and Benjamin Jones.  While working on remixes for their band Kaura, whom Ben and Malcolm founded and perform with; they accumulated a number of songs that they felt deserved to become it's own entity.  Having both been fans of electronic music for a long time and having always talked about the idea of working together on an electronic project...The Clouds Below was born.  Mixing styles of Glitch Hop, Rock, Bass and Downtempo; The Clouds Below released their first 5 song EP  to iTunes in December 2014. Bringing their music and musicianship to the stage, The Clouds Below is an engaging visual and visceral experience with the addition of unique and impacting light show.
