MNMT 336 : Mordio

We are pleased to present the second installment for our Orbita mix series. This time we have Lopar, straight from the mountains of central Colombia in the city of Manizales where he is working on bringing proposals that he considers of great artistic value. Navigating worlds of sound from ambient, dub, minimal to the deepest and most hypnotic and mental spheres of electronic music. 
His talent as a DJ has allowed him to perform alongside renowned international artists and he has contributed mixes & podcasts to major labels and platforms of our scene.

Our paisa friend guides us through his mix with a steady groove, drifting from club-friendly bangers to mental trip eleganza. Lopar hails from a land of ancient spiritual connection with nature, both terrestrial and cosmical, we like to believe that he purveys a sense of residual mysticism and tribalism throughout his musical language.

Orbita 02 - Lopar

This week we have Michal Gutkowski behind the decks, also known as Ariet. His commitment to putting together music does not derive exclusively from his own energy, as he uses his rhythms as audiovisual therapies for himself and his listeners as well.

Michal resides in Poznan, Poland and has traveled many countries for his craft. On the 30th of September, Ariet has a new EP planned on the mighty KVLTÖ Records. 
Some words by the man himself: "I'm super excited to be joining some of my favorite producers like John Plaza, Vanta or Pattrn on the label. The EP consists of 4 tracks, which were produced in the autumn of 2021. I treat them very personally as they were the expression of the things that I was going through."

Definitely check it when it's out. But for now, please comfort yourself with this spectacular session.

Installment number 65 of our series comes from the city of Leipzig.
Here, Jonas started his Kontinum project in 2016. Focussing on atmospheric and dissociative techno. Over the years, his sound evolved and ranges from ambient, deep techno to contemporary club-oriented sets. Over the years, Jonas has continued to develop and perfect his own sound and has had the chance to release on labels such as The Gods Planet, Lowless and Oslated.

Last month he founded is own label, Mnestic Records. The goal is to release club-orientated but deep music. Perfectly in line with our series.

Electronic musician, guitarist, Sun Dawei is a very active Chinese musician.
He started learning to play guitar at the age of fourteen and then set up a punk band, which became the catalyst for him to open the music gate.Settled in Beijing in 1999, then began the research and creation, electronic music and punk band legend in China "underground baby" as the band music arranger and guitarist, at the same time began to dabble in Fashion Show, movies, drama and jingles.For the first time in 2003 in China's famous record company in the name Of Sulumi "modern sky" albums "Air Inhibition Of Water", this is his first formal experimental electronic music show, the original technique to build a new music, present a different way to express the heart.

After that, people from all circles are attracted to it.The publication of "The Heaven" has made his personal music career leap.He has made a series of Remix works, including the Brain Failure, New Pants, The Gar, EeL, Jeans Team, Snoop Lion, Kid606 and Zaliva-d. In all Remix works, he has his own unique style.

In 2013, Shanshui Records was reorganized, based on Ambient music and the minimalist Techno style. Integrated with rock attitude, world view and modern consciousness, the melody is transformed into a melody, abstracting consciousness and hiding the pursuit. He then moved to Japan and released his new album "Unconsciousness" by VICE CHINA in 2015.Bring new sound concepts and melodies -- more and more steady rhythm and dark line of melody line, always around the rock core stealthily, music melody avoids joy and sorrow.
