CODECAST Y - fradkin - Fast Forward (FF)

For this new episode of our codecast Y series, we’re glad to introduce PHYC.

Originally from Portugal, but nowadays based in Amsterdam and always learning and evolving from its scene, he has developed a mixing style in which fast paced and raw sounds are the perfect tool to achieve the desired resut: Deliver energetic sets that can impact both mind and body, challenging the listener’s perception.
He played in clubs such as Claire, 8sixA, John Doe and Club Atelier. He also created the UNNOTED podcast series that aims to shine a light on less known artists in Amsterdam and abroad, with an aim on more extended sets, peak time energy is the idea behind all guests sets.

Working on improving the production output, the studio has kept him busy on creating his own material and releases, which we are really looking forward to listening.

For this one we're introducing a french dj from Paris, DJ Chteuf, a founding member of the @Klangangriff collective, which is focused on fast paced Techno.

He likes to bring on stage his love for the Groovy and Dub chords as much as the fast paced drum patterns, without leaving the Techno genre. 
Previous years of intense producing and classical music education has given him a strong attachement to the music structure and energy. Always looking for the right angle when approaching a crowd, he aims at pushing their bondaries while pushing his owns.
Thanks to its polimorphism and its variety of colours, Techno can become the catalyst which links other influences in electronic music, thus creating different energy levels and interesting dialogues.

Vidění (Shaded Explorations | Circular Limited) began to experiment with mixing records at a very young age, attracted by the role of a DJ as a figure disseminating new sounds, an attitude that is shown in his current perception of music.

In constant search for sounds that have not yet been heard, he immerses himself in the infinite world of variants in electronic music, until he finds his current passion for mental, hypnotic, deep and ambient constructions.
His sound can be defined as an enormous ocean of textures directed by unconventional rhythmic structures in which light, darkness, tension, organic elements and an infinity of emotions coexist.

Young Italian dj & producer currently based in Barcelona, a very talented artist to keep an eye on him for the next years.

Ronny Pinazza (@ronny_pinazza) tries to convey the feeling of the infinite timelessness of the soul of nature with music in an understandable language. His DJ sets are always driving, ritualistic. Natural sounds and hypnotic melodies allow the listener to reach another state of consciousness. His productions are experimental, unorthodox. Hypnotic rhythms and driving beats characterize his tracks, always filled with natural sounds. The listener is transported in a space that seems to exist between the stars. Deep in his heart he believes in infinity and that time and space are only imaginations. His goal is to express these inner feelings with music, so in 2021 he set out to develop his musical language. Ronny Pinazza has released 2 EPs on Cellar Door records, EP and single on MDivision Group Records. Collaborated on VAs on Indefinite Pitch, Initiate Records, Free Palestine Charity VA, Linee Sonore. For our thirteenth installment we’ve invited Aurelius Scott, a visionary curator and music selector from Denver, Colorado. 

Aurelius has always been attracted to deeper cuts of music, fascinated by the world of rhythmic drums and hypnotic ambiance. 

in 2020 he started a series Anodynic Frequencies that is dedicated to fellow musicians with the same passion for music. Since then he has connected with many talented individuals and has had the opportunity to work with many of them through guest mixes and promotions. 

It has been through this platform that we came in contact and talked about recording a mix for Hypnosis, of which you are now listening to the end result of it.

Some words by Aurelius about this mix:
"When I was first invited to the channel I wanted to paint a dreamlike landscape. Slowly drifting into the subconscious with subtle progression and brooding low ends. Eventually leading to a feverish current of rhythmic percussion before drifting deeper and deeper with layered sounds to curate a deep state of hypnosis"
