Volpe is an Argentinian artist with more than 10 years of experience behind the booth.

Inspired by the sounds of the ‘90s, his versatile sets blend genres such as Dub, Detroit and Hypnotic Techno, which combined with his fast tempo and continuous groove, create a perfect atmosphere on the dance floor.

He has been at the forefront of the underground electronic scene in Buenos Aires, being a resident in several parties for many years, which have lead to him being showcased at the best Techno clubs of the country, sharing gigs with artists such as Tadeo, Jonas Kopp, Seph and Andres Zacco.

He’s managed to edit several of his productions on labels such as UИCAGE, Subsist, and Sungate, and due to his continuous efforts he has been supported by artists such as Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Jeroen Search, Zenker Brothers, Tripeo, Stephen Brown, Subradeon, Pushmann, Kaiser, Vil, Yant, Alexander Kowalski, El Choop, OHM, Hertz Collision and many others.

He is now focused on honing his production skills and preparing new releases, all whilst still doing podcasts for great channels like Artaphine, Frenzy, CÉRÉMONIE, Room Lab, Obscene, Vanity Dust, Duplicity and several more.

For this episode he brings to the table old school rhythms layered with futuristic melodies.
A unique session that will deliver in every aspect, combining funky and uplifting atmospheres with groovy beats and dubs.

Technokunst - a Budapest-based collective of like-minded artists - is continuing its series of podcasts, showcasing some of the best talent of the multifaceted genre we call Techno.

Our next release, out for the Holiday season of 2022 is an excerpt of Stojche's vinyl-only set recorded in the Summer of 2022 at Alkototabor, Hungary (https://alkototabor.info/).
Stojche is a Macedonian-born and Berlin-based DJ, producer, and a dear friend to us. In this set, you'll hear him bringing Detroit schooled Techno with dub-leaning aesthetics, drawing heavily from the sound of the '90s and playing a top, strictly vinyl-only set.
Stojche is at the forefront of the Tangible Assets record label releasing vinyl since 2011.

kiara ist a Leipzig based DJ and founding member of the Nebula collective. Together with Nebula she organizes illegal raves and club events such as at Institut für Zukunft, Distillery or Elipamanoke and is thus contributing to the techno scene in Leipzig. She has always had a passion for many different music genres. Coming from a hardcore, punk and indie background and playing classical guitar since her early childhood she discovered her love for techno in her early twenties. Her style can be described as trippy, spherical yet straightforward with a consistent hypnotic flow. In her track search she makes sure to choose tracks that have a deep and drifting atmosphere.

Asier Arias, más conocido como Bassywax, es un DJ y productor establecido en Donostia apasionado por los platos y el formato vinilo. Cofundador y residente del colectivo Nigma.dss, bajo el cual trabaja en fomentar la escena techno en Donostia y sus alrededores, siempre bajo los valores de respeto y cultura de club.

Su estilo como DJ se caracteriza por sonidos crudos, dinámicas hipnóticas y experiencias sideral-psicodélicas, con una amplia gama de bpms, desde los ritmos más pausados hasta los más acelerados, siempre manteniendo en mente el viaje como elemento de cohesión principal. Depende del contexto también podremos escucharle tocar estilos propios de hace inicio de milenio y mayormente enfocados al baile.

Como productor, Bassywax es también un entusiasta del formato analógico. Sus producciones van en la misma línea a sus dj sets y se caracterizan mayoritariamente por el uso de sintetizadores y cajas de ritmo analógicas con el objetivo de mantener el formato de producción tradicional basado en hardware.

Back with the newest podcast for June and this time, it's a special b2b from RNR's founder, DAIYAH and longtime Berghain resident, Fiedel.

Enjoy this set recorded back at NY's Holo in early 2023. Major thanks to the venue for letting us come by to use the space and mix on its incredible sound system.

Fiedel:
Contrast. Objection. Antithesis. This is how you might start an attempt to describe the world. A seemingly chaos of shapes and thoughts that don’t belong to each other. An overall image to be found in life and in music. But that’s not Fiedel’s view of the world. Where others make distinctions, he sees connections, where others find emptiness, he finds rooms full of opportunities.

Finding those harmonies, connections and contexts marks out his musical work. The synthesis of apparently opposing music, the interaction and the mix of styles and moods, without loosing the storyline, that makes out the characteristic Fiedel sound.

After the wall came down, the way was open to access a fresh scene, and with it came a whole spectrum of new and old music to discover. In the beginning of the 1990s, he started DJing in public as a regular at the Monday events at Subversiv. Shortly after he began his collaboration with his befriended Errorsmith under the name of MMM. They released several productions and play live shows. Since 2000 he is resident at OstGut and later on at Berghain. ...

You can say one thing about Fiedel: he is no techno or house stereotype pattern, that you can put randomly on a every evening or club. He is lead by his history, the history of the music and the feeling of the moment to build something new and to capture this very moment. Let it be the straight dark techno of today, banging acid of the 80ies or an electro funk record, Fiedel surprises. He undermines and overrides expectations and refrains to limit the music for any reason. He lets the music speak for itself, through himself.

DAIYAH:

DAIYAH, founder of RNR (Rumble N the Ramble) is a dynamic force in the New York techno scene and beyond. Her sets, often described as unexpected, unhinged, and wild, draw inspiration from the harder industrial sounds while blending that with the unbridled genre, experimental. DAIYAH has brought her heavy and fresh sound across multiple cities in North America and Europe. Her party, RNR since its inception has hosted some highly coveted talent and is known for its stellar lineups that provide a consistent vibe all night long.

Her roots started in house music back in 2017 when she achieved two residencies in New York City playing as a duo. In 2019, DAIYAH went solo and took with her an unwavering and growing passion for techno music. Having played all od the major parties and venues in New York while going back and forth to Europe in between, she is known in the community for her captivating sets that roar out to the audience immersing them in space where chaos of the best kind can thrive.
DAIYAH has a knack for creating stories that generate seamless impact and facilitate an unparalleled atmosphere. Through her meticulously curated selections, she illustrates dedication for her craft. Her goal is to search through the most sensual and deepest bowels of the sound to make a space that immerses you in the moment.

Whether its one of her multifaceted sets or her multi-sensory events, you’re in for a journey where sound is celebrated in a way that encourages freedom of expression. DAIYAH is a kindred spirit to the underground and thrives on feeding off the intimacy created with her crowds.


You can catch both Fiedel and DAIYAH this weekend at Basement. DAIYAH will be playing on the 23rd and Fiedel will be playing on the 24th for BOUND’s annual pride party.
