Spa In Disco - Artist 125 - STEPHEN RICHARDS - Mix Series

The Black Light Disco Show returned for its weekly tickling of the  myhouseradio.fm airwaves - and here's the whole two hours in all of its glory! 

It’s an all residents affair again this week with Esteban & Goz priming the confetti cannons and arming the glitter bombs here in the BLD Towers events space. The lads have been working away in the ‘Sonic Achievables Lab’ all weekend so it’ll be nice for them to take in the neon gases and disco particulates of the events space. They’ve both got their nebulisers so we assume they’ll be ok.

Esteban kicks things off with a set that's heavy on the bass and weaves effortlessly in and out of disco & house, featuring the likes of Corrado Alunni, Birdee & Keli Sae, Never Dull, More Amour and Jo Paciello to name but a few. 

Goz then takes over for the second hour - taking things up a notch and swinging things around from jazzy nonchalance to deep grooves and killer disco. Expect pure fire tracks from Delfonic & Kapote, Saison & Miss Patty, Andy Bach and Aaron Swales amongst others.

What a special treat this show was! First up on hosting duties we had an original Disco Walton, Ken Avalon of Discoholics Anonymous @discoanon. Ken is a well respected DJ/producer and  radio host from Denmark. He has a huge following and his successful long running show, Hot to the Touch, on Prime Radio helped inspire the some fellow DWs to start their own shows. Ken has impeccable taste combining old & new and every mix is a journey & educational.

Our very special guest this week is Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic. We're all massive fans of Delfonic and we're super excited to have him join us on our show. Based in Berlin, Delfonic runs Illegal Jazz Records alongside Toy Tonics honcho, Kapote  as well as A&R/ Label Manager at wordandsound/whatpeopleplay.

With a history in digging and an unquestionable love for music, Delfonic, is as versatile and informed a DJ as they come. Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets. His set for us is pure class, you'll love it!

@manuelcostela is a Spanish producer from Madrid. His music is mostly Deep house with touches of Funk & Grooves. At a very young age, he started the Bucketround label.  Which currently goes by the tenth reference and only produces Vinyl format.
Bucketround was born from the initial idea of merging funk with Deep house music, publishing works of artists who are able to risk a bit in music production and to create a community of famous artists, collaborating with producers that are emerging right now.  He started his electronic music carrier using an alias: Oval Future Face (O.F.F) which focused on exploring darker sounds.
His last project is a new digital label, called 2phonic Recordings, this is created to discover new talented artists, based on electronic music, experimenting with different pre-defined styles.
He has worked and is working in countless labels of international prestige some of them are: TH Pressing (Japan), Sub_Urban, Trax Records, Deep Explorer Music, Mate Recordings, Nang Records, Deepart Sounds, Black Jack Records, Melodica Records, Klassik (Chicago), Plastik People, Rare Wiri, Open Sound, B2 Recordings, Moiss Music, Lisztomania, Hot Digits, Delve Deeper, Deep Sense, MoodyHouse, Spa In Disco, Cyanide, Closer To Truth, Cenital Music, Real Balearic, Personal Belongings, Black Riot, Moatun7, Moulton Music (San Francisco) and more.
