The ALL MOST LIVE @ MUDHUT EP is the first recording by The Column 8 Conspiracy Theorists. The 4 songs here come from a live jam by the band at the Mudhut studio on the north coast of NSW in October 2022 before the cicadas started up in summer. A few DIY additions were made after that in various locations but the essence is a live recording.
It features 2 original numbers and 2.5 of our takes on other peoples material.

The EP starts by the band mashing together Chitlins Con Carne by Kenny Burrell with I Want You (She's so Heavy) by some obscure pub band from Liverpool (Hopefully our version will boost their profile).
This version of Chitlins is a homage to one of Australia's finest musicians, Jim Conway, and his band Big Wheel. If you've never heard them check it out - very cool band. For good measure there's a touch of West Side Story thrown in before Christy kicks off I Want You - a nod to one of John Lennon's best blues songs and Sir Paul's great bass on the original.

In a Sentimental Mood. (Awaiting clearance) Just a really cool song by Duke Ellington inspired by his playing with John Coltrane on Coltrane for Lovers. Make yourself a cocktail, sink into the lounge and chill to this one before the first original written by Zac. 

All My Friends tells the sad tale of an alcoholic as he ponders life and the cosmos within the realm of a white goods appliance. Life's a bitch when your best friend is Kelvin A Tor and his ice cold goodies ( yes this is Oz so none of that crap about warm beer). They just look so inviting, staring out from the well lit interior, don't they - in fact I feel like one now!

Just Calm Down is what to do when, for instance, some joker with a mandarine comb over gets elected President of the United States of America - home of the brave and on that day majority crazy peoples. If only he's made a reality TV sequel instead of running for office again.
